Now is a good time to start a paleobotany thread as wonderful new plant replicas are being released. My collection focuses on plants that are extinct. Cenozoic plants are excluded.
MARX, ferns (to 2”) and palm trees (3.75” - 5”), 1950s to recent reissues
In the beginning . . . was Marx. Ferns date from the Carboniferous. Palms first evolved at the end of the Cretaceous. These plants were used in other play sets in addition to the prehistoric set. There are also many palms by other manufacturers.
AURORA, Jungle Swamp, 1972
Scale 1/13. Jurassic. Swamp plants (to 3.25”) are not identified. Cycads (3” - 12.5”). Cycadeoids = Bennettitales (3”). A few plants are included in other kits. See link by aurorasteve:

COLLECTA, Tree & Plant Collection, 2009
Ginkgo biloba (10”) is a living fossil. The genus began in the Jurassic.
Cycad (12”). Jurassic. Based on Pseudoctenis lanei, according to an email from CollectA General Manager, Peter Leung:
“The first of the prehistoric cycad toys was more generic rather than
intended to be a specific species, but it was based on the fossil
Pseudoctenis lanei and did indeed have reference to the modern
Encephalartos, to which the ancient plant seems to have been quite
similar, and was probably an early variety of.” 12/22/2011.

Cycad, (4”) Triassic – Cretaceous.

Members are encouraged to expand this report by adding photos of their plants. Safari produced a toob of miniature trees in 2008 that included a Monkey Puzzle Tree. There are conifers by Bullyland, Safari, and Schliech, as well as other manufactures. Schleich has also made several extant trees: acacia, baobab, beech, mopane, and oak. These might be attractive for dioramas of Cretaceous dinosaurs and Cenozoic mammals.
