 Dino RIders World
« Thread Started on Mar 22, 2011, 10:04pm »

It's been a long time but I finally updated my Dino Riders website. What used to be dinoriders.com is now dinoridersworld.com.

It has a lot of cool stuff - especially the "interactive toy box" :

Would love to hear your feedback.

Enjoy!

I preferred on the old website being able to see all the dinosaurs by series on one page, as opposed by now having to click the series and then the dinosaur.. It also feels more cramped. But it is very pretty and official looking.

Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true.

Thanks for the feedback. It's a little bit cramped by necessity - there is a lot of information and pics - I tried to organize everything in a logical way.

I also revamped the Cartoons and Merchandise sections.

By cramped I mean the information window. I don't know what it looks like on other people's screens, but on mine it is very small.

I see. Yeah - it's an i-frame that is only about 900 pixels wide by 500 pixels tall. When there's only a picture, I think it works fine but when there's a lot of text and other info, it requires a lot of scrolling. :-/

@DinoRiderWorld

Great to see you're still active with your site and all.

It's obvious that you put a lot more work in this iteration, than in the last. I see a lot more javascripts for one. ;D All the Information you have gathered over the years is truly worth the best possible presentation.

That said I really have to agree with Seijun. The site really seems cramped. From an UX standpoint the previous iteration was much better.

Am I correct to assume, you're the only one developing the site? Why not include a few people to help you out. Ask for artwork and graphics; Feedback to UI-Layouts; A little help with Photoshop; I'd be more than willing to help on the actual business logic and the UI.

The information you gathered and are still gathering is great and very detailed. It should be presented the way it deserves to be presented.

I know I sound like a total ass - sorry for that - but I'm really trying to offer help.

You will go after the Dino-Rider, who humiliated you. Your motivations will be: Hate, fear and envy. I want you to hate your enemy; I want you to fear my wrath, more than anything you fear he may do to you; And I want you to envy victory, so much that you will tear it from his grasp .

I must admit though, I think its really cool how you made it look like a dino-riders box front in some areas!
