If only the lower jaw looked better... ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) anyone daring enough to try and switch the jaws from the old papo one ? i'm betting it will work.

Even if they were brave enough to actually call this so-called forthcoming Brachiosaurus a Giraffititan, that would be something (ironically, the people that might appreciate such a thing may be the exact opposite of the people that are the biggest fans of Papo ;D). Lol. I agree. Even if Papo had the most accurate Giraffitan on the market, they would still be adamant about labeling it as "Brachiosaurus". Has anybody labeled any figure a Giraffitan yet. It'd be like calling a Brontosaurus, Apatosaurus.

You can see that the protruding tooth in the lower jaw fits perfectly in the hole in the upper jaw. So I think it's really a battle damage. Similar to the allosaurus dan has in the signature! That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw these new pics! The Allo from Dino Revolution. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) Thanks so much, Christophe, for all these great shots! I especially like the complete side views. He really is a pretty cool Rex. Just not a T. rex. Def a combo of a T. rex and the V. rex from Jackson's Kong. I shall call him a TV. rex! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ;D

d**n that's a sexy dinosaur. Not accurate at all, but that's gonna look so good in dioramas ms such. Or paint it blue and add thumbs to make a vastatosaurus.

Has anybody labeled any figure a Giraffitan yet. It'd be like calling a Brontosaurus, Apatosaurus. No one's labelled a figure 'Brontosaurus' in years...also, it's not the same. 'Brontosaurus' was sunk into Apatosaurus; Giraffatitan brancai was SPLIT from Brachiosaurus. Still, it is true that the name Brachiosaurus still has wider recognition, so I can't see any company having the cajones to label a figure as Giraffatitan in the near future. A perfect JP Rex figure, period. No it isn't. For one thing, the mouth is wrong for that - the JP T. rex had gums and 'lips' (although they didn't cover the teeth); this one has crocodile-style teeth protruding directly from the skin. Sorry for sounding a bit grumpy like. I've been forced to get a new phone and it's stressing me out a bit. Which makes me sound like such a diva, but there you go. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Hey you forgot the arms hahahaha ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) . I am curious how it would look when it is feathered. Actually, the arms are about right for Jurassic Park. They were too long there too (although they might be even longer on the new Papo). EDIT: Here's a nice clear picture of a JP T. rex head (the one they used in the Universal theme parks) for comparison purposes. Notice the gums, teeth and mandible give it a rather different look. ![](http://farm1.static.flickr.com/252/457428714_74e4c3016a.jpg)

Consider the fact that my current one was given me as a gift so I was thankfully spared the task of choosing. They get evn worse these days, I hear. And back on topic...

However this doesn't detract the beauty and the badassery of the figure ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

and the eyebrows are more GregoryPaulesque (postorbital and lacrimal divided) ...yeah, OK, but how is that Greg Paul-esque? I mean, they tended to actually be divided. ![](http://hlcdn.datasphere.com/sites/kob.com/files/imagecache/resize_story_image/800px-t-rex2.jpg) However this doesn't detract the beauty and the badassery of the figure ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) Nah. Although the arms do. They're not badass, they're just bad. (Can someone REALLY be that hung up about arms? Yes, they can.)

...I wonder if Papo's new "TV-Rex" is inspired by the T-rex being featured in Jurassic Park 4?!? ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) ;D ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png)

Although it should be noted that some of the most badass carnivorous dinosaurs throughout prehistory apparently did without much in the way of arms!

Haha, my "TV. rex" has caught on! ;D I was looking up images of the Vastatosaurus rex to refresh my memory of its details and was surprised to see how small its arms are compared to the new Papo... ![](http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/893/ur9n7gcopy.jpg) ![](http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/2933/dsc2599s.jpg) The V. rex also has a better looking lower jaw. But yes, Papo's is still a bad-ass looking figure, albeit a very strange looking bad-ass figure! ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

What surprises me in the picture is its jaws look broken and healed. I am curious about rex version one repaint.
