 shreddies flat dinosaurs from the 60s

i have just bought a nearly complete set of shreddies flat dinosaurs.
i really like them and would like to complete the set but i can not find much info on them on the web.
There are none on ebay do they show up on there much? if so do they sell for a lot.
thanks for any help

They're Nabisco cereal premiums (Shreddies was one product in a line ........ I think Shredded Wheat was another). Nestle ( :-X) took over Nabisco some years back hence some confusion around these.

According to Mike Frederick's "Dinosaur Collectibles" they were first made in the 1950s in a tan colour (not sure if they were ever re-issued).

There were 20 pieces, with the usual dinosaur suspects plus a few less ubiquitous critters such as Paleotherium, Nothosaurus and Sphenacodon.

The books says that they're worth $20-40 each.

Very nice figures, but must admit that I've only seen them in that book and never on e-bay.

Shreddies...Hm. There were German pendants called "Wagner Margarinebilder", got two of them : Moschops and Ichtyosaurus ;-)

I think I did well today .... Surprised at the lack of competition. Should this be a shreddies figure (I think I am owed it, I eat enough Shreddies after all :-/)
