Cropped and rotated your pic, Chris. Also made it a bit bigger and slightly sharper and brighter. This guy is gonna rock!

There is a criterion for a dinosaur becoming a Carnegie figure. It must be reconstructed from fossil finds that include a majority of features and preferably a range of individuals ( no species based solely on teeth or vertebrae ). But they made a Spinosaurus .

A very cool new Brachiosaurus. At last one with a convincing variation of the neck position. And at last there are no tripod theropods anymore - although I must admit they´re not really convincing.

Maybe because we have material from other Spinosaurs even if not from Spinosaurus itself.

The new Brachiosaurus looks awesome, but they don't half love that creamy-beige colour...

Aren't his frontlegs a LITTLE too long?

Aren't his frontlegs a LITTLE too long? Not at all. The longer front legs are the reason for Brachiosaurus' naming.

I think they may look a little long from the front, due to the shallow chest, but they seem fine based on the skeletal drawings that are around.

Oooh, nice! The Brachiosaurus is definitely the best of the bunch, but the others are not too shabby either. Their paint jobs look a bit dull though, but I'll reserve my judgment until we see better pics. The Mammal skull toob is very interesting. Not what I hoped for but definitely original and a must have. Hopefully it will sell well enough for Safari to continue the Prehistoric Life line after all.
So, anybody know how much else we'll be getting from safari this year? There's gotta be more Carnegie, but is this all for Wild Safari?

Yeah, photos! The Brachiosaurus looks stunning! The pose is great and everything looks very accurate as far as I can tell. I'm ok with it being slightly smaller then 1:40, that means it will be cheaper! ;D As for the other Safaris......I'm unimpressed based on these photos. The Cerato especially makes me a little sad, but I'll reserve further judgement until I see some stock photos. On the bright side, the mammal skulls look good. Is that an ancient whale skull one in from the top right? Now let's see what Collecta is coming out with!

I'm not tryna be rude, because I am a huge dinosaur fan and I love Jurassic Park and all, but I mean, do you people that are ages 10+ really think that these models are worth collecting? I mean Papos are a different story, they are hand painted and great, museum quality models, that Brachiosaur looks like a children's toy from a museum gift shop or something on the clearance aisle in Target in a month. All of the lines of dinos do except papo's and a few other specific models and they are the same quality as that Brachio, I'm sorry. I simply don't see how you people can spend so much time focusing on what are imo, pointless models. I came here to find out about Papo's 2012 models and you people refuse to respond except for one helpful member on the bottom of Page 23 and for that I thank Allosaurus89. The most notable and realistic toy line out there that adults and teens should be collecting, if any, is Papo, and I cant get any responses out of you on anything, sorry to seem like a total dick but its really all there is to say because I like this forum and I have followed it a lot, but all you guys are doing is throwing around pointless guesses and convos day after day, lol, but I guess thats what a forum is for. I'm sure ill get kicked or banned or something for stating my opinion right after joining, but I would think you guys would be more helpful... I guess I will look elsewhere, or maybe there is something I'm not seeing about you guys and for that please point it out I apologize. Oh, and I think Blade of the Moon is the one with those badass drawings on DeviantArt and if so, very nice, its good u do something else with your time so maybe I am just judging you guys wrong...

Historically, Papo seems to display/release information regarding their upcoming models around December (...perhaps Jan at the absolute latest), releasing roughly 2-4 dinosaurs per year. Occasionally, they release a prehistoric mammal (Megatherium?).

Well thank you, I just checked back and you are right, last year the announcements and pics were released November and December and the Anky pics were released in january, but I do remember the Spino's pics released in early August the year before its release, I dont collect a lotta these things except for the papo and some old JP models so idk about how companies release their toys... I guess its different each time around...

Papo, in case you haven't noticed, this is the Dinosaur Toy Forum, not the Papo Toy Forum Naturally, we do discuss other things here besides Papo's. I'm sorry if you are disappointed in the lack of "papo-ness" here, but it is the general consensus of our members that Papo just doesn't produce very scientifically accurate figures, with the exceptions of their recent pachyrhino and styrac. Scientifically accurate figures are few and far between, so naturally, we are THRILLED when something like carnegies new brachiosaurus appears (thank God its not grey and brown, like 99% of all papo dinosaurs). But since we know absolutely NOTHING about what papo is releasing next year, there's not much we can say about papo 2012 even if we wanted to. I'm sure you will see plenty of papo talk here once we know what they are actually releasing, especially if the figures are decent. Also, most of us don't actually collect figures based on their future momentary worth. We collect them because we think they are neat. Some of my favorite figures are relatively worthless and will probably always be that way. Nevertheless, you should never underestimate the future worth of any toy. Today a carded marx dinosaur set sold for over $260 on ebay, and it was probably worth less than 10 cents when it was new.

I have the PT now, and i must say i love them all, the brach, cerato, and dracorex i will definitly get. But the vaga is also great in a way. But first paleomaster Therizinosaurus and diabloceratops. I would love to see 2012 papo's. And i spotted new animals on safari clip. I see a bear and deer behind the man presenting àAfrica set. Attachments:
