These are recent conversions on mammals. I want to try a deinotherium next. Primelephas gomphotheroides, middle Pliocene, easy conversion from Indian elephant, but had to flatten head a bit. Kyptoceras, last of the protoceratids, early Pliocene from Florida USA. Made from pronghorn, had to extend nose a bit. Giraffokeryx from Miocene. Giraffe(surprise!) ancestor. Okapi conversion. Megacerops family, late Eocene. Conversion from black rhino. Ears are repositioned, eyes are moved forward, shoulder muscles bulked up, 4th toe on front legs and of course horns. All conversions use epoxy putty. That's it for now.

Great job!
If companies made good prehistoric mammals like these, I'd get them.

Yup, I do those as well. I have a background in 1/35th armor and in model trains.

These were all sculpted with sculpey? I use super sculpey. I've tried other clays, but polymer seems to be the best in my opinion. We'd love to see more.

These mammal conversions are all from Papo, Safari, Schleich, etc. and modified with epoxy putty. The dinos on the other thread are Sculpey and Super Sculpey unless they are kits. Thanks all for the compliments.

Wow!!!! Very impressive. What did you use to make the waterfall?

Here's one more. ;D Dinofelis. The waterfall is silicone sealant and poly fill for the mist, water is resin.

The grass is static grass, 6mm poly fibres applied with a home made electrostatic applicator pumping out an awe inspiring 7,000 volts White glue is applied to the base and the grass is shaken out of a hopper past a negative ion generator which causes the fibres to repel each other and land on the glue in an upright position. The stuff is made in a wide variety of grass colours and in 2mm, 4mm and 6mm length. Feel free to ask any questions since I guess not too many here do scenery. Gentlemen, behold! The Grassinator. And some nosey neighbors.

Thanks, Boki. I don't have too much more right now on customs just the stuff I posted in dinosaur art-customized figures. The Teleoceras. Also a creodont, Hyainailouros.

What,s that striped mammal in the megacerops scene, a hyenodon?
What is the asking price for any of these figures.

No, the striped mammal is an oreodont, late Eocene, Oligocene from the Keebler formation. Lived in hollow trees, only extinct mammal to have a baked confectionery named after it ;D No, really!!! Kidding, but it is an oreodont converted from a Schleich young boar. The nose was changed, longer tail and the toes changed. Oreodonts are kind of generic mammals so I'm not sure what genus even, probably Merycoidodon. There are a whole bunch of Eocene mammals that this could pass for, a lot of them were not very specialized. As to doing stuff on commission or selling, I'll give it some thought. I run a small hobby shop by myself and don't have much free time to make stuff, which is why I am doing the conversions, they're quicker. If I have time to make more duplicates then I can post in the classifieds. I have no idea what price. Until I have extras though I don't want to sell the ones I have, I like these things!! I'm also thinking of conversions of dinosaurs, like a Battat Acrocanthosaurus into a Rutiodon. Or does everyone not think that is a good idea?
