Aren't they beautiful? I sing the praises of the Nature Technicolour series as avowedly as I do Kaiyodo (or any other Japanese maker of animals, come to that ;D). Many sellers on eBay offer them, though I got these from 'jubei88', whom I have found to be thoroughly trustworthy and very efficient in shipping. I once tried to get a haul of Technicolour animals from another eBay seller, but was roundly cheated. I've tried Googling them, and there are some retailer sites with stock pictures of several complete series, but I'm not sure where one might find actual in-hand pictures. I feel there must be dedicated collectors of these who build sites about them too...

The Omega Rex looks pretty neat, but if I got it I'd be out of space. My CE Thrasher is enough trippy rex goodness for me.

Here are some full pics of these tiny beauties~~ Note : These are not my personal pics. I acquired them from a friend who has a better camera. Anyways, I do own a majority of the nature technicolor models The aquarium set - Limited (original version is 7 pieces, but this version is 12 pieces total) And a sneak preview of an upcoming series... Wow, impressive! This certainly beats Kaiyodo's IMO. What is this Nature Technicolour?! Is it expensive and/or obscure. It looks expensive, lol.

The full sets which includes the limited secret pieces are kinda obscure, but recently Epoch / Kitan Club (The company/manufacturer which released these miniatures) has re-released the entire set and they are pretty common atleast in our country and Japan. There are also a series of straps and magnet animals (with qualities as good as the Nature Technicolor miniatures). The sets cost somewhere between $40~70... The thing I like most about these series is that the production pieces look nearly identical to the prototypes in stock photos (minus the seam lines). It would be nice if they start making some miniature prehistoric animals...

They are beautiful I tried to get the whole African animals set, but fell short The good new is that I got mine really cheap, $1.99 each ;D There was also a set of animals, but mostly the heads in a trophy mount style. I don't thnik I posted the ones I got, really cool pieces. .

Thank you for those pictures, Dyscrasia! I'm salivating. ;D And the upcoming series is just... gah! Complete sets do seem harder to find, even on eBay. But I'm grateful that each set is fairly small in number; it feels a little easier to complete and less painful if one does not.
That was an excellent bargain, Boki! Lucky devil. ;D

Hi guys Got some stuff today. First some invictas ;D Then the mighty Carnegie Smilodon. I love it. I think it do the justice to Smilodon's muscles! Also the Battat Utahraptor, Old version of Baby Apatosaurus from Carnegie and two AAA's. Finally, two Styracosaurus, chinasaurs I think... there is no name of company on them. And the T.rex Skeleton, plus two playskool figures, Dimetrodon and Deinonychus.

That T-Rex Skeleton is so weird!! It's dragging the tail but the chest is on totally horizontal position... So it isn't Osborn's early retro reconstruction, but it isn't the rised-tail reconstruction of the post-reinassance either... Looks like a step inbetween. And great bunch of Invictas there.

Finally finished this horrifyingly busy semester and came out of it with a huge birthday haul:
"The Rise of Life," illustrated by John Gurche (been looking for this one for a while) DK/Smithsonian "Natural History" encyclopedia "The Daily Show Presents: Earth" (whose creators obviously only had a Papo T. rex as visual reference for dinosaurs) Coelacanth/Ichthyostega Evolv-ems plush Pastasaurus spaghetti scoop (shaped like a T. rex skull) dinosaur print wastebasket, tissue box holder, towel set (obviously meant for people 25 years younger than me, but I'm happy to have 'em)
Now it's a question of whether I should spend some birthday money on building up my 1/40 collection or wait for next year's Safari and Papo offerings...
