Comics and Cartoon Continuity

Sadly I only own the first volume of the Dino-Rider Comic. Just reread it again and I must say: The characters are given much more depth, and a lot of new characters are introduced.

It also sparked a few questions. The most important one being:
"Do you guys consider the comics canon?"

Whoever has read the comic maybe could also answer these:

Is Tark the same character as Torque?
What is the name of Aries' wife? Is Pandora their daughter?
Who is the father of Cass and thus Llahd?
What happens in the 2nd volume?
