Second Dinotoyforum Diorama Contest - Open! « Thread Started on Mar 1, 2009, 11:37pm »
Cordylus and Dinotoyforum bring you...
Soo... You guys knew it was coming... Well here it is! The 2nd official DTF diorama contest, sponsored by Fauna Casts!
basic guidelines:
-Entry is free.
-All member of the Dinosaur Toy Forum, including staff, are invited to participate. Non-members wishing to participate are invited to register to the forum, this is free.
-There are no categories. Your diorama has to be about prehistoric organisms (chalicotheres, stethacanthids, Triceratops, whatever-- as long as it is prehistoric!).
-Each entry should be submitted as a jpg file and must be accompanied by a creative title.
-The deadline is June 15th 2009! (entries received after 00.00 hours GMT June 16th will be invalid) (That gives you plenty of time to make either a jungle-y diorama or a ice age diorama.)
-If you have entered a diorama, you can't send another to replace the first one!
-Dioramas have to be new (never made before).
-You have to be the maker of the diorama. Stealing somebody else's diorama will result in disqualification.
-Photoshop is allowed, but the original photograph(s) must be your own.
-Winners will be decided by a poll open to all forum members, entries will remain anonymous until the winners are announced.
Prizes!
This year there will be prizes for first, second and third place winners, courtesy of our kind sponsor Fauna Casts (by our very own Dinonikes). There will be a Tyrannosaurus, a Dilophosaurus, and a yet to be announced third figure! First place winner will get first choice, second place will get second choice and third place will get third choice. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Dinonikes. All three winners and the three runners up will also be featured in a special 'Winning Dioramas' blog entry.
The prizes...
Now get out there and make an awesome diorama! Good luck!
EDIT - In the event that a winner already owns the prize, Fauna Casts will be willing to consider sending a mutually agreeable alternative prize.

Wow! This is totally awesome news!!
Thanks, Adam and Cordy! And, a very special thanks to Malcolm! That is very generous of you!!
And, we have till June 15th -- great! Our east coast snow storm should be finished by then, lol! Also, we should all have alot of the new 2009 figures by then too. So, a wider spectrum of choices should be available to us well before then. Cool!
* Now goes to put on thinking-cap and start dusting off the ol' grey cells, as well as my prehistoric beasts!! *

That's exactly what we were going for. There is still time to make ice age dioramas, and there will be time to make jungle and desert dioramas.
Yes. That is how it was last time too. But don't worry, I won't tell. That would ruin the surprise for everybody!
Of course you wouldn't tell publicly but you could tell other members who's is who's diorama through PM. You had no shame in making false accusations against me last week so it would be hard to trust you. I thought sending the entries to a one of the moderator's would be more fair for everyone.

OK, so, since I said you were mean to tyrannax, nobody should trust me? Great reasoning ajax.
And I wouldn't do that. I swear on my battats. If I do, may their boxes burn and their pvc arms and legs melt into nothing!
And if I did do that, moderators/admins could get into my account and look in my outbox to see what I have done.

I thought that happened over time anyway...
Seriously, Ajax, it will be fine--it worked fine last time, it will work again this time. Even if the stakes are so very much higher than last time, what with there being real prizes that are awesome and everything!
