« Thread Started on Oct 20, 2008, 8:49pm »

Yeah, that's something i was wondering not so much time ago (mere seconds ago,to say all the truth ;D)...

...Am i the only one who'd REALLY like to have a cool wallpaper depicting (in the best way possible) our favorite dinosaur toys and models in a realistic enviroment, like, you say...A diorama?

I'm sure the guys here who are good enough with photoshop and similar programs would create truly good stuff...What do you say? ;)

:) It would be nice to have the appropriate backgrounds for each time period. It wouldn't have to have Dinosaurs or other Prehistoric-animals. It could be just be terrain and plant life of different time periods like Cambrian, Devonian, Late Jurrasic etc. Then you could stick it behind your Dinosaurs and get a Diorama effect. :)

;D Have you seen all the postings? It should not be difficult to do or share an image that you like. If Tyrannax is telling the truth and not just flattering me ::), I think he used one of my T-rex as a wall paper on his computer a while back (while it was hot ;D)
Oh, I have an idea ;D for you, why don't you put out all call for collectors to submit dioramas ( you can request for a specific period if you want ;)) and then do a poll, who ever wins you can use that image as you wall paper, yes? 8-) ;D

Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true.

'The Great Dinotoyforum Diorama Challenge'. I like the sound of this - a little competiton! The winning entry could go on the blog. Unfortunately I don't think there would be many entrants?

;D Let the fun begin! ;D I think with a little incentive, there will be more than you think. It would be a fun thing to do for the fall, you can even divide it into "natural' and 'photoshop" group. ;D

Aye sir! ;D

And,if i may add,i'd like to say what i'd like to see:

- "Natural" category -

> Papo Allosaurus walking on a shore (at sunset?),looking at a poor Ichtyosaurus (the Bullyland one, maybe?) who has washed ashore and is slowly dying...The point of view should be slightly behind Allo's shoulders,or maybe should be very far, like we'd witness the scene from a dune :)

- "Photoshop" category -

> Papo T.rex bursting from the forest (with various sun rays passing between the trees),mouth wide open,to attack a herd of Parasaurolophus (Papo,Carnegie,Schleich) who hopelessly try to escape swimming in a near river 8-)
