Ooh! Thanks! I'm trying to keep myself from collecting starlux, as if I start I fear I won't be able to stop.

So does this mean they stopped making prehistoric figures in 1984?

Hey their "Ouranosaurus" which looks suspiciously like a Spinosaurus due to the snout, is more accurate then Carnegie's old Spino version! ;D

^^ The carnegie is more accurate. this one's fin isn't big enough, and the carnegie's is.

It was a joke.
But for the record, we don't know how big Spinosaurus's Spine was.

That was a terrible comeback! Now admit you failed. ;D JK Anyway, I like Starlux, but if I were to collect an older company, it'd be invicta or Marx.

Among the rarest or most sought after (sometimes due to easy breakage, sometimes due to strange animal choice) are the Bradysaurus, Trilobite, Spirifer, long-necked Tanystropheus, Synthetoceros, Scutosaurus, Edaphosaurus, Cephalaspis and Drepanaspis. And most will be found with at least a little paint chipping (if not more damage).

Sorry sir, I sold my Starlux dinos collections few years ago and they had any damage or paint chipping. I hope one of you bought them.
Life is hard sometimes.
The company Starlux died in 2005 after a nearly 20 years old agony.

Ooh! Thanks! I'm trying to keep myself from collecting starlux, as if I start I fear I won't be able to stop. ;D How very true! Years ago I "sampled" Starlux. I got just a few figures so I have some represented in my collection. I still don't have a lot, but I do keep an eye out for any good deal. The non dinosaur figure are really the ones really worth investing in, IMHO. The mammals, fish, etc. are particularly hard to find and acquire at a reasonable price. Maybe I should send you a figure just to get you started ;D We need to get you hooked on something new besides the mammals ;D ;D ;D I actually got 2 pterosaurs for under $20 with shipping plus one mammal ( some damage).

I think, overall, the amphibians and fish are more rare--probably because kids are less likely to buy them over dinos or mammals. Which is too bad, because those are probably the best from Starlux.

Maybe some of our new members search for a collecting focus, so I got this thread out of the relict. Starlux is really worth it!

I won the Monoclonius in package from the same seller! And I'm also waiting for some other additions to my Starlux herd. They are definitely very nice figures to collect. Now you need to find yourself a Starlux ichthyostega!

Check out that Iguanodon giving us the thumbs-up while sticking out its weird giraffe tongue ;D ...and then there's 'PREHISTOIRE' with Triceratops ramming an upright Tyrannosaurus with an obligatory erupting volcano in the background. Love it! Just spotted quadrupedal hooved (!?!?!) Spinosaurus too!

The Iguanodon sure is funny I've got it displayed next to the Starlux Megaterium that's also sticking it's tongue out - something like a tongue battle unfortunately a lot of the starlux Iguanodons and Megatheriums have lost their tongues, they break-off quite easily.
