LoL. Had you changed your name to Ramona Pariente, that just might have worked.
Remember guys, that Safari does take a lot of requests from the consumers, and when they find a certain species is in high demand, they definitely base their decision on that. There are definitely species here that I've seen DTFers asking for, and they've been very well crafted.
One of them stands almost no chance of being guessed, though. No figure of the species has been produced yet, to my knowledge.
If it's the one I think you mean--I had never actually heard of it, yet it comes from only 3 hours away (in other words, likely a synonymy someday...)!
If he did (he won't) we'd just delete them anyway (until we definitely had permission).
If it helps--I doubt anyone will guess half of them, and will be pleased by the others. I only know names though, haven't seen pictures.
Yeah I know, only joking, although suspense is still killing me, the last comment mentioning the one figure having never been produced before has me really excited. Are you allowed to tell us if they remade any old wild safari replicas? (no specifics of course, other than if they redid any)

In the interest of keeping the species a secret, I will say that the paint apps are really cool. Granted, it's still early and they could change a bit, but I like what's there. Some of them are conservative, and even those with a striking design still seem quite realistic. One figure seems to take a page from a certain Sideshow statue - in paint scheme only, not species.

I don't know sideshows well off hand, so I can't even begin to venture a guess, I'm strictly a wild safari/ toobs collector (other than the occasional carnegie if I really like it). Actually, I still need to get a prehistoric crocs toob when I have the money

Diabloceratops? Ceratosaurus?

I remember someone on laughing giraffe said they would be focusing on the Monteray Bay collection this year so we should see some interesting stuff in that collection too

Lol I posted that on LG. I'm not sure on that, I asked the same question the second time around and they said no, not at this time. Who knows they might suprise us.

Sbell and/or Dan, if at least the names of the upcoming figures are known (to you), can you at least tell us how many new Safari/Carnegie figures (and prehistory toobs) we'll be getting? At least, the number you guys know of at this point? As for the unguessable figure, I guess... Scansoriopteryx.

God, I'm so excited!
How could it be that one? People have heard of it...

I hadn't, until I Wikid it, I thought it was still called Epidendrosaurus.
An unknown species then. Enigmasaurus Neerlandicus perhaps? Or the magnificent Roselaarosaurus Superbus by any chance?

I Love these guesses also. And a pterosaur toob would be great. I would love to see a Cambrian fauna toob.

Pterosaur toob would seem pretty obvious. I;m hoping for something a bit more exotic, like Prehistoric Amphibian toob, Pre-dinosaur Reptiles toob, Marine Reptile toob (Marine Life toob was great but something similar would not be unwelcome), Prehistoric Rhino or Elephant toob or indeed Cambrian fauna toob. As the Sharks and Crocodiles toobs showed, the sky is the limit.

I have said it once, I will say it again--there are other threads for speculation. This thread is specifically for announcement and discussion of actual, released (or to-be-released) 2012 figures. Please keep it that way, or the EDITing will commence.
