Ha, not liking an animal with feathers is so childish. I don't want to come off as rude, but we have to accept the fact that some large theropods had feathers. And to say you don't like them for that reason is a bit pointless.

Tyrannax--why is it "childish"? Maybe Brad doesn't like it for nostalgic reasons, or maybe he feels Rex just looks better without feathers. There's no proof Rex had or didn't have feathers, so its useless to continue arguing over it. Please don't have this discussion again...

Where is the irrefutable proof that T.Rex had them? You're the one being childish. On top of that, it does look terrible.

I just think its childish to dislike an animal because one of its features isn't to your liking. I'm not saying Tyrannosaurus had feathers, i'm saying that some thropods may have had them, and to say you don't like them for that reason is silly. Maybe I'm just an all around animal lover, but I disagree with disliking any animal because their characteristics aren't to our standards. (I wasn't talking to you Tomhet btw) Lets just drop it. Its like talking to a brick wall.

He's not disliking the animal, he's disliking an artistic rendition of it.

Agreed, enough of this. We all know pretty much where we stand, and we are not likely to change any one's minds. It is just battering a dead feathered therapod now. I do appreciate how y'all mange to have this argument on EVERY frickin' thread though. Impressive, if tiring, tenacity.

Oh! I thought he said he disliked the entire animal! Man, thats a relief. ;D
No, no, that's understandable. I don't like it when artists show Tyrannosaurs with 3 visible fingers. (They do that believe it or not very often, even today)

Am working on the carnegie apato. Holding it in one hand, and painting is tough, that sucker is heavy. Plus, after dinner, Susan and I are gonna watch Hellboy 2, and The Dark Knight, both for the first time. plus, I can't spell for dinkus tonight....
EDIT: Again edited by mod and admins, please no more of the "invisible" conversation. Thanks.

there are T.rex skin impressions. They were found with 'Wyrex'. To the best of my knowledge, all known Tyrannosaur skin impressions cover very small areas and are from indeterminate regions in the body. this was found in the same block as leg bones and abdominal ribs. What a beautiful sight...Beautiful sight indeed ;D

The fossil is quite neat though.
