I wouldn't say it is a phobia, but there is something I find quite disgusting about sticky labels. You know, the kind that only peel half off and then leave an ugly paper film, or the kind that leave a sticky residue behind that just won't budge. urg Well, all of my schleichs were covered in a label of the second variety, they loop around some extermety or other - my Shonisaurus is worst and has a horrible mark around the tail which attracts dirt. Why don't tahy have a tie-on tag like other companies? Is it just me or does this happen and annoy anybody else (many of you leave the labels on I think), and is there a solution for clearing up this gunk?

I have seen action figures collectors, the kind who likes keeping their figures in the packaging or MOC, remove the sticky residue with lighter fluid. So I guess it should work on the dinos too.

I would be careful with both of those, you might remove the figure paint along with it. Really hot water near boiling with some dish soap would be my first try.

I'd use only soap and cold water, but then again that's just me. It seems that our admin has a very disturbing phobia

It IS a disturbing fact about Schleich. The few Schleichs I have were bought with perfectly applied stickers. And I've been tempted to take them away.

It's NOT a phobia! I'm not scared of the labels! (or maybe it is and I'm in denial) ;D

I find that nail polish remover works very well, actually, though it might remove some paint so be careful. also, there's a gooey product here in america (don't know about ireland) called Goof Off which is made just for that purpose, taking the sticky stuff off of objects

I prefer to use some kind of tape to get off sticky residue. If you dab repetitively with the sticky side it will pull the gunk right off. I like packaging tape and masking tape... good luck!
