The banner would be essentially perfect if you replace the toyway Liopleurodon with the WS Liopleurodon. The Toyway version is too angular, and clashes with the surrounding figures.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. To clarify, I mean the actual collectibles themselves are not prehistoric. Stone axes are prehistoric, as are dinosaur bones. And you could collect them. But dinosaur toys aren't prehistoric. Running 3 searches on eBay provides evidence of the wisdom of the term Dinosaur Collectibles. Here are the results: Hits for category collectibles: Paleo – 1,059 (mostly arrowheads) Prehistoric – 4,988 Dinosaurs – 15,851 The Forum is lucky to have an administrator with such sound judgment.

How very kind Interesting results. 'Dinosaur' is still unsatisfactory, of course, but I think it is the best. 'Prehistoric animal collectibles' would be more accurate but is a bit of a mouthful.

Just made a new banner with the new pics of 2012 collecta that are available. Very nice! Would it be possible to replace one of the figures with the new Papo Mosasaurus, for a more even spread of companies?

Would it be possible to replace one of the figures with the new Papo Mosasaurus, for a more even spread of companies? Adam I'll try to add the Papo Mosa as soon as we get good photos of it ok. I may try one with the monster rex too... ;D [Goes running and hides under the bed] Thanks to everyone, I'm happy you liked the new banner. EDIT: As Papo didn't release a good stock photo of the Tylo, I used the other ones to make a new version, included a Bully figure too.

;D ;D I do not know if I say since I'm a newbie ... But do not you think that is too full? eight plants and even dinosaurs? According to me it is necessary to remove a Papo and also two Collecta... to add the Mammal Collection (Megacerops) ... to remember that there are also mammals Prehistoric (but I do not collect the other forums do). this is just a suggestion and nothing more.

I think with the new papos we don't need the mosasaur after all! I like the broad spread of companies in the new banner, and I really like the two sauropods and the plants on the sides, but a think I do agree with anchry, it is rather busy now. could one of the ceratopsians be removed? The new papo rex also has a visible box surrounding it, on my screen at least. Thanks Ikes!

The change from “newest threads” to “30 most recent threads” will be self-explanatory to new members. Better wording than what I was thinking, “threads with most recent activity.” Nice improvement.

Yes, as you've noticed, I've been reorganising and rewording the forum headers and footers. The Bullyland Elasmosaurus have been removed to make way for a cleaner look forum. Any comments on the changes would be appreciated I also played around with some new colour schemes but didn't like them.

I like the new banner, I don't think it's too busy ;D I would suggest taking out the Kosmo, replace it with the dead trike so that the T-rex faces it. It also will break the almost even hight. Replace the relocated dead trike with the megaceratops Also, perhaps scaling down the theriZ a bit so it's more balanced with the figures and composition of the left side. Just a suggestion Looking nice. Oh, speaking of change, now that the elasmo is gone, can we also replace the Papo raptor with something else? ;D Perhaps a different figure per category box? Again, just a thought

I think it's a bit crowded; it could do without the Dracorex and Therizinosaurus.
