Thanks to Helge I received my Monterey Bay Thresher Shark today! So happy, thank you so much Need any of the others ? ;D Haha I do actually, the ones I'm looking for at this point are: Humpback whale adult, Orca adult and calf, Whaleshark, hammerhead, Bottlenose dolphin adult and calf, Beluga adult and calf, Sperm whale adult, and the Pacific white-sided dolphin (this last one is the one I'm looking for most of all).

I have a couple AAA whales a Right and a Humpback. A 5" MiC Whaleshark, and I think I have the Safari Hammerhead..but I can't recall if it's WS or Monteray Bay.

Somehow I always forgot to post this one, one of my favourite fish: Istiophorus platypterus (Shaw & Nodder, 1792); Sailfish. Safari Ltd. / WS Sealife model. Length 156 mm. Andreas Köpke is 1:20 scale. And this one came yesterday: Unidentified "spotted" moray eel by AAA, obviously cast from a real specimen. Length 571 mm. Yes, it's a Gymnothorax sp. but the colour pattern does not really match any existing species.

I wouldn't mind finding one of those...I just contacted Safari about making more Moray replicas..there are so many species out there and we only have the Green Moray by them. I'd love to have a Hawaiian Dragon Moray about the size of the larger Green they produce.

Both the Dragonfish and the Loosejaw are made of a glow-in-the-dark material and look very nice in darkness because the metallic colour partially conceals the glowing plastic so that the body itself is dark but the photophores are glowing.

How could I forget these two by AAA?: Opisthoproctus soleatus Vaillant, 1888; Barreleye or Spookfish. Length 135 mm. Eurypharynx pelecanoides Vaillant, 1882; Pelican Eel (mislabelled "Gulper Eel").

Speaking of the DX lines, I finally got the DX sharks box! They are, to say the least, far improved over the original sharks. Especially the deep-sea trio (Filled, Goblin and Cookie-Cutter shark) are really well done. Although I will likely pass on the whales. None of those are all that interesting as far as species go.

Just what I was thinking, I need that one, too! I agree that they could at least have included some more obscure species (like one of the many Mesoplodons, I would also love to see someone making a Baiji) and I'm not too impressed by yet another Bottlenose Dolphin and Orca but hey, the rorquals apparently have interchangeable throats! And a good Right Whale is always welcome.

So do you like this set more than the Sharks of the World Box? I remember that you once told me you were a little disappointed of the (standard) sharks box.
