I need some help to ID this guy: cgi.ebay.com/Schleich-Carnegie-15407-Allosaurus-/120706559368Sadly, I did not win this auction. He looks like the original grey/gold carnegies, but I have one of the originals and it is brown plus green (same as the one pictured here: www.dinosaurcollector.150m.com/CSafari_files/cs_originials.jpg ) The one in the auction is not pictured in the dinosaurcollector database. The tag also says Schleich on it?? Additionally, I have a carnegie stego with the same pattern as the 1989 version, but he is green underneath and black on top instead of yellow and brown as pictured in the dinosaurcollectors database. Any info on these color variations would be much appreciated, especially the schleich/safari hybrid allo.

Now that is unusual. Both Carnegie and Schleich on the tag!

The first Carnegie set was distributed in Germany by Schleich 1989. This Allosaurus looks axactly like the one I bought back then when I didn't even knew Safari existed. I thought the Carnegie Collection was made by Schleich ;D. Yes - it's from the first German Carnegie edition.

Very cool, so it is a 1989 version from Germany. I wonder where the grey/gold 1988 versions were released then? I wish I had not been sleeping when the auction ended! Curse my need for rest!!!

I just picked this one up today at a thrift store: It says 1987 HG Toys on the inside leg socket, nothing on the tummy, and its mouth opens on a metal pin hinge (but the lever seems to have broken). I was hoping someone could tell me more about it, I think it's quite cute

I have that one too...I also have a T-Rex from the same set. I used to have them all when I was little, the big set included , Brontosaurus, grey T-Rex, a yellow Stegosaurus and a dark green Triceratops. They all had working mouths, the Rex looks like he's smiling all the time and Trike has odd saber-teeth. There is also a large sized mammal collection..it had a Sabretooth, Cave Bear, and Mammoth maybe one other but I can't recall it if so. There were also mini sets of pvc dinosaurs that came with a caveman, boulder, tree and one dinosaur. The sets I recall had an Allosaurus, T-Rex, Stego, Bronto, Pterandon, and Ankylosaurus.

That's really cool I don't suppose you could be bothered to take pictures of your stegosaurus and triceratops some time? I'd like to see them! Are these dinosaurs worth much of anything, or should I just be happy I found a cute bright little brontosaurus?

I don't think they're worth very much..maybe more to someone whose really nostalgic over them... like myself. lol
I actually don't have those two anymore..just the Bronto and Rex..I would love to find the Stego though..he was very retro... lol
I've seen them turn up in 10.00 lots every so often...and there a few BIN on eBay with no one going for them. The mammals on the other hand might very well be worth a few bucks.
I just recalled they were sold under the brand name Dinosaur Warrior .

I'm curious anybody knows if there are other figures that belong to these small (Kaiyodo size) Jurassic Park Spino and Tyrannosaurus? The are branded TM & Universal Studios & Amblin (nothing strange about that obviously). I really like them - would be cool to find others to join

Hm, mnemo, I´d guess your little theropods have something to do with Jurassic Park?

Hm, mnemo, I´d guess your little theropods have something to do with Jurassic Park? Yes, that's for sure (I also mentioned it in my post) - but I still can't find anything on them, stangely enough. I really would like to know if there are more... would be cool

Not a dinosaur, but does anyone know who makes this dragon? I think it's by Jasman. I have the same one bought from ToysRus..for what he cost he's a pretty cool animated Dragon .. ;D

I know of a Tyrannosaurus that has nearly exactly the same skin pattern and colour and overall style. And the Ceratopsian on the left of one picture seems to be from this line, too.

It is, but I talked the seller out of listing it for a cheaper price and shipping amount. It wasn't as big and impressive and had two horns broken off.
Do you have a pic of this Rex ?
