Oh, my bad. I see what you mean. But just to clear things up (and this question is directed towards anyone): Raptors were definitely feathered, were they not? That is what they teach, but I don't believe everything that is taught, especially when the evidence that they draw their conclusions on is quite questionable....

Sorry, don't want every thread on this forum to be about this. But come on people! Feathered dromaeosaurs aren't so bad. Look how pretty they are! Gah.

Before we go into a feather war, I think an Acrocanthosaurus from Papo would be pretty swell.

Sorry....saying they have stacks of them and that they have attachment points is all part of the point to try and prove that dinosaurs turned into birds as part of the evolution theory, and I just don't buy it at all. And btw, I have had many years of college so I know what they teach.....but I didn't come on this forum to argue about feathered dinosaurs, or the theory of evolution which I definitely don't believe. I came on here to talk about and trade dinosaur and mammal models....Is that OK?

Yes it is.
I like the sound of an Acrocanthosaurus too.

Honestly I don't even care about what papo does anymore, the only good thing that came out of them last year was the very nice pachyrhinosaurus but they still messed up the horns on it's frill.

I don't want to sound like a Papo apologist, but it seems that at the rate paleontologists keep unearthing these ceratopsian variants...I wouldn't be surprised if the Papo Pachyrhinosaurus (with the antlers) ends up becoming a real ceratopsian of some sort.

But when they made it, it was wrong, I don't care if it can be applied to something else that hasn't been discovered yet in the future. And you do sound like a papo apologist ;D

Feathers are currently only known from coelurosaurs, with advanced 'true' feathers only found on maniraptorans (eg. oviraptorosaurs, dromaeosaurs, birds). Unless you count Concavenator. Not everyone does. I'd love to see a feathered dinosaur from Papo - I'm sure it'd look just as convincing as the scaley ones. Plus the Oviraptor was a bit of a horrorshow... Otherwise, a large carcharodontosaur figure would be very nice (I'm into them at the moment). The problem is that no dinosaur bigger then about 2 meters has been found with fossil evidence of feathers. Until a large dinosaur (mummy etc.) is found with feather evidence I'm just not going to believe large dinosaurs looked feathered.

I'd love to see Papo make...
Gallimimus A Sauropod Ceratosaurus
They should also make a Smilodon to go along with their Mammoths.

Well, since we're already getting an amazing Carno from Carnegie, then my vote for a medium sized theropod would definitely be for a Cerato. For a larger theropod, an Acro would be divine! For a ceratopsian, I've always been wanting a really good 1/40ish scale Chasmo. Any sauropod! But, a larger one is preferred. And we do have lots of Brachis, I guess I'd prefer a diplodocid. We've had some newer Apatos lately, but only one newer Diplo figure by Carnegie. So, I guess it's a Dippy for me. I went back and struck a line through my "Any". Hehe! And maybe a nice big Liopleurodon. (I can't seem to get a hold of the WwD one ) I really like the WS and Procon, but they are rather small. I'd like a bigger 1/40 scale to go with all the other companies' 1/40 marine reptiles!

For those who are willing to shed out a lot of cash, Sideshow is releasing an Apatosaurus maquette and pre-orders are going up pretty soon.....

Btw, the papo dinosaur sculptor is from our country who is currently residing in France.... Do you know his name? That guy needs to be interviewed.
