Just got the Acheson T. rex, among others. It's about the size of the Kinto Favorite soft model, although proportioned somewhat differently. And, I have to say, it is the sickest, scariest, most old and evil-looking rex I have ever seen! Can't wait to paint it, this one is truly a nightmare! And I mean that in the best possible way. They have captured the essence of the horrific predator/scavenger. Pictures soon. Ohhh, really interested to see how that figure looks like I may end up buying him, too, if I like it enough, so ya, pics please

Upbeat? Me? What an optimistic description; but how very generous of you to use it. ;D I was just being envious of your almost-complete collection of Invictas. ;D Says the guy with the Sideshow statues. Besides, it's somewhat less almost complete than I believed...I refer you to the edit I made. Ok you Invicta seekers, I will do an inventory of what extra figures I have and will let you all know about it ;D

From thelordsgym Papo Mammoth (old version) and Papo Dodo bird (Papo collection almost complete, missing only the Pteranodon). Who would like to give-me a Xmas gift... ;D And thanks thelordsgym, for the surprise extra Smilodon from that ice age set of chinasaurs... or would be better call them "chinatheriums" ;D Finally but not less important, the Sue collection Anatotitan !

OK, I got the Jurassic Park Dimetrodon, JP/// female Raptor, Panni Tylosaurus, and some unkown Pachycephalosaurus, Triceratops & Velociraptor. The Triceratops looks like one of the babies you used to get with the human figurines from the original JP set, and the Velociraptor is labeled Dilophosaurus.

It was a joke about the sorry state of the US economy. A poor one, apparently.

Man, i wasn't so happy to get a Tyrannosaurus figure since i got my first Papo Rex (no offense to the other great T.Rex models i got so far )... I finally purchased the Fame Master anatomy model T.Rex, a real beauty to stare at! She's BIG, almost 60 cm long and it's really cool that you can actually see her bones, muscles and organs (air sacs, yay!)... Plus, she's a very accurate restoration of the beast.

I have the T.rex anatomy model too. Truly gorgeous. Arrived today, some Nature Technicolour animals: The leaf turtle on the left has actually long been resident here. I just thought I'd include it too next to the Chinese pond turtle. I do not believe a better series of turtles is to be found anywhere. Even with this unfortunately poorly focused photograph, their extraordinary quality won't escape anyone. Two Kaiyodos, the Deinonychus being the only actual (non-avain) dinosaur in this haul. Can I describe enough how much I adore this copper pheasant? No, never! So here's another picture of it. I love pheasants, they're among my most favourite birds.

Wow, kickass modern animals models Glad you have that beautiful Rex too... By the way, i really like pheasants; near where i lived before moving on two months ago there was (and still is, i hope ) a couple of pheasants who used to wander on the river bank, among seagulls, ducks and such... Eh, once the male even stopped to eat the bread me and my mother threw to the other birds ;D With those long, long tail feathers, they always looked to me very "dinosaur-esque"!

Ah, yes. Funnily enough, though I hadn't looked at them that way, I do happen to think pheasant colours work especially well on maniraptorans. I suppose part of their appeal for me is that they are rather like mythological birds made flesh. Everything about their appearance seems to suggest it. Such beautiful birds...

Recently, I also got the 4D famemaster T.rex anatomy model. It looks pretty nice right next to the Sideshow T.rex maquette since they are roughly the same size.
