Ok this thread is getting quite of the subject here! This place is now a play vision shop. Completely agreed - I wasn't joking when I suggested this thread to be moved to Classifieds But you should check the Dejankins website (thanks for the excellent tip, ikessauro!) - you can also buy loose PV marine reptiles (including the Mixosaurus) there.

So, before the topic gets moved to classifieds, let's back to the figures.
Now that I've bought the Marine Reptile set, which arrived safely, and got the Amphibians set from Ichythiostega too, the other Playvision models that interests me are the mammals.
I know that they are very rare and sometimes go high on ebay, but can anyone tell how many mammals there are in the collection? I've read that there is a large figures set and a set of smaller ones. Someone here on the forum completed the small figures set a while ago, I think was Therizinosaurus, If i'm not mistaken.
Boki has some of the mammals too. Anyone else has any of them? Could post photos and the names?

Could post photos and the names? Yup! I completed mine maybe a month and a half ago. Boki and Sbell also have all of the small animals, and they have the 4 large ones as well. Here's the complete set: Ursus, the cave bear Smilodon, the sabre tooth Prorastomus, the manatee Palorchestes, the marsupial tapir Megatherium, the sloth Mammuthus, the mammoth Eobasileus, the rhinoceros Andrewsarchus Hope it helps!

Thanks theri! Would you mind if I save the pics just to use as guide for collecting ?
How much did they cost you? How much would be a fair price.
So, there are 4 big ones, right?
So, the big ones are Smilodon, the Tapir, Andrewsarchus and Eobasileus.

So, the big ones are Smilodon, the Tapir, Andrewsarchus and Eobasileus. Of course you can use them And yup, those are the 4 big ones. As for pricing, I would say between $8-20 a piece is probably pretty fair

Ikessauro, do you like the amphibians ? They are nice, isn't it? I didn't receive them yet... When I said that I got them from you, I meant that we traded.... sorry. As as said you before, I'm still learning English so sometimes I get tricked ;D But I've seen them in good photos and they look very nice indeed.

While we are talking Playvision mammals, I would certainly be interested in trading a number of prehistoric amphibians and a full set of marine reptiles for a large Eobasileus.

Anyone know how rare the PlayVision American Natural History Museum dinosaur figures are? Some of those look pretty awesome too.

Well, Roselaar, the dinosaurs are pretty rare.
First there was the small dinosaurs, than a Habitat Earth series, the final dinosaur series was associated with the Natural History museum. ( text from the Dinosaurcollector-site)

I think not too long ago on ebay, and it went for a quite a bit of money. I've got the Allosaurus and Coelophysis--the allo isn't too special, but the Coelo is a really nice figure.

i really wan playvision figures Good luck with that. Despite some prices mentioned above, I have seen individual small mammals go for close to $50. Each. And the large ones easily hit $100. Also, that one photo is not Smilodon--it is Homotherium (based on the book from where the sculpt was modeled). Which makes it even more rare and more cool.

One question: does the Playvision company still exist? Because I only have ONE Playvision piece: the MARBLED SALAMANDER.
