Hello everyone, I am Tobias from Germany (that´s the reason why my English isn´t so good) and I´m almost 14 years old^^ Well, I´m in the 8th Grade and I´m a Dinosaur Fan since I can think. My first movie was Walking with Dinosaurs and my first love was Liopleurodon^^ When I finished school/university, I´d like to become a paleontologist but I´m not really sure, how much money a paleontologist gets, because I´ve got really good marks (mathmatics A, english 2+, french 2, Latin 1- ...) and so I´d like to earn some money, too^^ Well my dinosaur collection isn´t really a collection... most of it isn´t form a popular label and those figures, that are popular are..well, you see, that a 4-yers old child has played with them^^ But now I´d like to start a (little) real collection and I´d like to start with the WWD Liopleurodon, but I need some time to get the money^^ And there are some of my dinosaurs, that are a little bit...strange and I´d like to find out more about them. Greets, Tobi

Welcome, Tobi! Nice to have you here! Another German, and one who´s interested in palaeontology. I wish I had had a forum like this 19 years ago! I´m sure you´ll be taken seriously here, for our hobby isn´t a matter of age! It´s a matter of fund and, yes, passion! And I remember we´ve got another Liopleurodon fan here, lio99 ;D I see our DTF Germany meeting come closer and fuller! Btw: We do have real palaeontologists on the forum here - they´ll tell you that in relation to the work and what it takes you do not get enough money. Every highschool teacher gets more I think...

Another 14 year old after the WWD Liopleurodon... Welcome to the forum! Age certainly isn't a problem. We have a fair number of younger members here (yours truly included).

Another 14 year old after the WWD Liopleurodon... True. It is nice, but uncommon and expensive. I would recommend hunting for the excellent Safari and decent CollectA first--they are far more likely to fit your (i.e. your parents') budget. Until the inexpensive WwD appears somehow (it does happen).

Welcome to the forum!
Your English is a lot better than my German when I was 14. Indeed, it's a lot better than my German now. However, somewhere in between I did speak German fairly well. Then I forgot it all...and now I'm trying to learn what Dutch I can. The craziness.
