Hello everyone, my name is Takama
I come from a small town in Iowa were certain dinosaur toys can only be obtained from the Internet
That town is Fort Madison, and it is far away from any science museum that displays dinosaurs
I loved prehistoric creatures ever since i was a child, and had collected many toys since then,
most of them were Chinasaurs
But one day my music teacher, decorated her room with dinosaur decor, and had a Carnegie collection on her desk
Thats when i started to collect some more sophisticated dinosaurs
Right now, I'm still collecting Carnegie's, but I'm also collecting Papo dinos and procons
I am in search of some of the original Carnegie's, however, for complicated reasons, i am unable to use E-Bay to collect them.
I am also a video gamer, and movie lover,
and my Favorite Dinosaur is the Twin Crested Dilophosaurus
so thats me, and as you can see from the title, this is my first time on any message board

Hi Takama - Welcome! I grew up in northern Illinois - not so far from you. At least I had Chicago and the fabulous Field Museum of Natural History (have you been?) to flock to now and then (Me: "Mom, can we please go see the dinosaurs this weekend?" The evil witch: "Good lord no, we just went last week!" ;D) Love those music teachers!! Anyway, it's a very nice group here, so you should feel right at home soon.

Hello Takama and welcome! The internet seems to be the main purchase source for many of us too. It's rather a pity.

I don't know Takama, there comes a time in every man's life when he must break away and start to see the world, and at 18, I think your time might just be at hand! Since you're right on the edge of Illinois, I think you have a pretty easy weekend trip to Chicago within your grasp. Do you have any friends you could do a road trip with? Once you get to Lake Shore Drive, you are so close to some amazing places, including Shedd Aquarium and the Art Institute. I'd definitely recommend you find a way to team up with some pals and go see those places before too long. They will change your life at least a little bit. I took a lot of girls to those museums. True, it's not the most exciting date location, but if they didn't love those museums, it was unlikely to work out anyway! And...now this is IMPORTANT...you must go hungry, so you can gorge on all of those fantastic Chicago hot dogs!!! Oh God, I want one right now!!
