But don't worry, I got a new one.

I have a question- Right now, I have almost every carnegie and battat, and a good amount of schleich, papo, bully, and battat. Do you think I should start collecting invicta? I have none, but some look quite nice and inexpensive. Also, which are better- painted or original? Thanks

You should definitely have Invicta. I am currently trying to get both sets (the uncoloured version and the painted one) since they are truly different.

The Invicta pieces are worthwhile to collect but they are discontinued aren't they ? I thought L&P said they were maybe...just them though.
I have the Bronto, Diplo, Rex, Meg in orig non-painted and the plesiosaur and icthysaur painted. I always meant to get the Bary but never did... :?

I suspect the Liopleurodon must be the most accurate pliosaur to date

I have mine mostly split up by company, and then if possible organized by species (especially safari figures)
To hang pterosaurs, I put a nail in my cealing and then swisted a twisty-tie around it. I then make a twist tie "harness" for the figure (usually using the ties that come with action figures, holding them in place in the boxes, the clear and unplesantly strong ones) and hav had great results doing this.
I personally like and have fond memories of the invicta figures from the Academy of Natural Sciences as a boy when I used to get to pick one out from the gift shop as a souvenir.

My pterosaurs and marine life are hung using painted floral wire from walmart... it's dark green and hard to see but strong enough to hold anything I've seen made so far.

How could you not ? Unless of course space is an issue I guess.

I play with them, not display them.

I have none, but some look quite nice and inexpensive. Also, which are better- painted or original? Thanks They´re definitely worth being collected, for their have both scientific (they´re very detailed and well sculptured) and historical value (upright posture of T.rex, tail dragging Apatosaurus). The painted ones are from a different material, not brittle (my Apatosaurus knows what I mean) hard die-casting plastic but comparitavely soft rubber. And, well, uhm, they´re painted ;D I like them, too. Back to topic: I display my dinosaurs together with many books on a shelf, all brands and species mixed up together . They all seem to be content with their neighbours from other companies. I imagine them gossip about their former owners or their way through the factory (Like "What, it´s that hot in an Invicta die - casting - machine?" or "How disgusting, I lived in a smoker´s household before.") ;D
