Lego has finally issued new dinosaurs for January 2012! ;D Although there are only 4 species of dinosaurs, it can't get much better than this! ;D 5882 Ambush Attack 5883 Tower Takedown 5884 Raptor Chase 5885 Triceratops Trapper 5888 Pteranodon Chase 5886 T-Rex Transport Helicopter 5887 Dino Defense HQ

These are the new high benchmark in dinosaur collectibles. A paradigm shift, even. Simply superb - the latest releases from Safari, Collecta etc. cannot hope to hold a candle to these.
And they have recycled nothing whatsoever from Jurassic Park.

A small note for these 2012 Lego sets, there is a slight chance that these sets will be available in December at Toys R us.

Wow they didn't even try to be different from JP did they. Can't really blame them though.

At least the dinos are better than their last dino themed series.

Real throwback to Dino Attack and the Adventurers lego sets. I will no doubt be getting these, as legos are one of my favorite collectibles next to dino toys

Just one of those things...

They are very cute and well done, though I would have prefferred they also included at least one obscure species in their series, like a Protoceratops, an Ouranosaurus or a Therizinosaurus.

They are okay. The figures look great by Lego standards, but thematically it's been done twice before already by Lego. Can't they come up with something other than humans-hunting-dinosaurs?

Hmmmm, yes, these Dinos are better sculpts than previous ones, but man...c,mon...why JP again? I'd be happier with a cute T.Rex!
I do like the Triceratops though...
These figures would be a dream to art direct. Jealous...yeah...

What is amazing is, in latin, "Lego" means "I assemble". It's amazing indeed when you know the creator, back in 1929, called his invention "Lego" for its danish meaning "playing well"!!
