I was looking through my e-mail last night, when I found this update from a few years ago from the now extinct Link & Pin Hobbies: It was listed as Mesozoic Era (not Mesozoic Era Models) 1/18 Tyrannosaurus. It does look a lot like Keith Strasser's T. rex, especially from the rear: Was this some kind of update to it, or just a huge coincidence? But what I am really interested in is who made it, and is it possible to get one in this point in time? Thanks!

hello everyone, just wanted to answers joel's question about the 1/18 t-rex. it was in fact a comissioned sculpture from keith strasser around 10 to 12 years ago.it was released under mesozoic era models. i later made some changes to the sculpt and released the modified version. unfortunately, the modified version is no longer available. since i gave all rights to the original version back to keith, you may be able to still get this one from him. i recently released a 1/20 scale greg paul version t-rex, and the molds and all rights to the piece has recently been sold to bob morales. you can contact him to get your casting of the paul rex. i will soon have available a 1/12th scale version of the dinosaur revolution rex.will keep you posted. have a great day everyone!!!!! hello, thank you for the welcome to the forum! someone who has the time would need to walk me through the steps to post photos on the forum as i don't yet have a clue how to go about doing this. i should be ready to post pics in about two weeks. best, darren I can tell you how I post photos. First you need a photo hosting spot online. Like Flickr, Photobucket or the like. I have been using Facebook myself recently. Once you have an account ( they are free ) you just copy and paste the image location by right clicking on your mouse. The right click again and paste in the post. That will create a link to the image. Like this : sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/65716_10150644926548070_677143069_9099343_1830749189_n.jpgIf you want the pic itself to appear just add image tags on each end of the link like this minus the periods : [.img] sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/65716_10150644926548070_677143069_9099343_1830749189_n.jpg [./img] When done it will appear : If you need any more help let me know.

Hi Darren, glad to see you here and welcome! I thought the head did look a little like your style, after all, it greatly resembles your 1/20 Greg Paul style T. rex. I didn't believe it was a coincidence, but with my experience, I wasn't sure. However, I have no idea why the heck I did not get it when it was available, but I am very happy that I did get the one you made a couple months ago.
I've seen Keith's web site, but it is nearly impossible to get a hold of him. After calling his number for about a week (this was about a year or two ago), I did manage to get through, but he was away from his casting facility and said he wouldn't be back for a while. At that point I lost interest. I am glad that there are folks like you and Shane who are prompt with your service and communication! I'll be e-mailing you again soon Darren!
