There's going to be a new Sideshow Carnotaurus but it's going to be expensive And being the Carno one of my favourite dinos, I can't see it as 'ugly'.

Which do you guys like more: The green or grey Carnegie one? I personally like the green, its reminiscent of the one in The Lost World.

I just realized, if scale is not an issue-the Dinotale Carnotaurus is far and away the best one.

I love it, but aren't the feet too large?

I like the dinotales one, there. It is what, 5 inches? Where can you get these, and are the others this size also? I would rather big feet and sturdy, than small and wimpy. Even modified, the carnegie one does not like staying horizontal. The legs and "ankles" are very bendy even when cool, making it prone to laying back into the tail. I don't think the Battat one looks much better than the Carnegie, but could not say for sure unless I got a good look at the skin detail. I thought I read somewhere we had skin impressions for Carnotaurus, and that the scales were quite distinctive?

Yes, there are scale impressions. The DinoTales Carno is OOP but you can find it online. And the Battat is much better IMO.

Some Battat sculpts look pretty rough to me. Some are Beautiful. Quality does seem to vary. I think there is a tendency to love Battat, even if you truly don't, just because they are such a "holy grail" to most. The question is which is best, and I think that the dinotale one at least has a less clumsy look to it.Battat may look better in person, but ya know I'd repaint it. That red is too bright. And their paint seems heavily laid on and shiny, so from photos it is tough to tell quality of detail. just saying.

The red also isn't too bright either, it is a lot browner in person. And no, it isn't shiny. And the paint isn't heavily laid on at all. The detail on the carno is great, my only complaint is that the feet curve inward slightly, but it still has no problems standing.

I really think the battat and carnegie Carno's look somewhat similar. Battat beats it though. The carnegie one looks awkward... ;D

I just have the Battat and the Schleich. The Battat is a really terrific figure. For some reason my Schleich Carnotaur got put in storage. There's only one problem with the Battat. The horns aren't symetrical. Looks like he's raising one and lowering the other like some sort of goofy eyebrows. I bought mine years ago in the Field museum, and I remember picking it out carefully. They all had this problem. Either it was a bad batch, or a sculpt error. Also the molding around the arms isn't great.. they are a bit distorted. But I love it. I only notice this stuff because it's one of those figures I find myself taking down to admire all the time. The leg anatomy in the sculpt is really phenomenal. That's just one of the things that make it a stand out.
