;D And also, It takes a lot of guts to produce a drawing like this without any reference, and then post it online for a buncha strangers to critique. Kudos for that.

I haven't drawn a dinosaur in maybe 10 years, that's how I started drawing and now I find it difficult to do organic creatures because I'm used to hard mechanical lines but am slowly getting the hang of it and hopefully am able to create higher quality work. About criticism, I do not mind as long as it is done in a respectful manner, I didn't post this with the intention of having my work praised and I do expect and appreciate criticism and thank you for doing so because otherwise I don't think I would improve. I'm trying to get some kind of work in the domain, or atleast commissions since I'm in desperate need of a job in the art department, be it drawing dinosaurs or other things since over here we have no such stuff, no studios, no demand, and my folks don't see my endeavour in art a very productive one and am struggling with money but so far I haven't seen an opportunity so the main reason I registered here is to get in-touch with the Dino-world again and possibly an art project. Some of my other work can be seen here: xadu.proqstudios.net/. Sorry for the long post, here is a Brachiosaurus Brancai:

Quick sketch of a Carnotaurus that I want you guys to sign off on anatomically so I can get to painting, hopefully I did my homework well and no changes should be made but it's better if I get it reviewed by people who have experience, thanks.

Amazing! I love it. The only problem is the snout isn't quite rounded enough, other then that it looks god! So, what is your technique?

What do you mean? How I color in photoshop? I don't have any specific technique, I just do it...

Wow! You have an exceptional natural gift! You must definitely utilize this talent; make use of it in a professional career.
Now, the only constructive criticisms I can offer are:
1. The head and neck of the Brachi look a little out of proportion to the body -- a bit too exaggerated. And, the back legs look a little too short, making the back slope down too steeply. But, there again, these are only minor anatomical corrections. Your technique and artistic expression are well executed and very beautiful!
2. As far as the Carnotaurus, I agree with Tyrannax. The end of the head's shape should be more rounded on top. It seems, if you could round the line up higher from the tip of the snout to the top of the head, it would give it a more accurate profile. The left foot, that is facing us, looks a bit turned-in. Maybe you could make the outer toe reach out more towards us. The fingers look a little odd to me. But, I can't see the detail of them so well. Otherwise, besides shading in the body more like the head, you have yourself another beautifully constructed sketch! Good job overall!!
Again, I think you are a very naturally talented artist! I wish you all the best in getting some work in this field. Good luck to you and hope to see many more of your wonderful sketches and finished pieces!!

Thank you, as far as talent goes... my grandfather had it but he didn't use it (WWI biplane pilot), my dad has talent but didn't use it (maritime Pilot) and now myself, a procrastinating student with no art training. There is no request for dino art over here, or art in general so I'll doubt I'll ever get a dream job like that, my only chance is doing commissions, but I don't think that will happen.. Edited the head a bit, it looks alot better: xadu.deviantart.com/art/Carnotaurus-sastrei-105960826

Thank you.. I'm all.. "natural" per say. I need suggestions what dinos to do, at the moment I'm kinda aiming for the underdogs, the less popular ones like Mapusaurus or Bahariasaurus, I've been searching for a list longer than Top 10 theropods but failed to find one, can anybody help me with this?

If you haven't done so already, check out the French site called Les Dino- identites- it has an alphabetical listing of many many dinosaurs with reference illustrations and photos. VERY HANDY

Once I know the name of a dinosaur or other animal, i just google image search it to get any reference images they can give me. Other option is to have lots of books handy.
