Not having an Invicta Rex does suck, but sadly I have no Invictas either. ;D I have two Invicta T-Rex's, one painted and one unpainted. I have all the unpainted invictas and most of the painted Invictas. I feel great! ;D -Brakes your neck again- Give me those Dam* T-Rexes!!!!! ;D

What? You don't have Invicta Hmm gotta work on you and Theri on that one! I am so impressed by your custom paint I am tempted to send you duplicates I have just to see what you can come up with ;D I am particularly interested to see what you can come up with with some of the Waiphoon figures (Stryraco,Stego and camara in particular). Hmmmm.... Maybe I should PM you and bribe you with some Invictas including the elasmo and T-rex and just maybe some schleich, too ;D Not having an Invicta Rex does suck, but sadly I have no Invictas either. What? I expected more from you Tyrannax! ;D But seriously, you don't have any Invictas? Holly mother of T-rex, I will dig up my bin and see if I have any extras ;D I have all of the unpainted figures, including the troodon, and some of the painted ones. I am hoping to one day complete my painted Invicta collection, so if anyone have doubles of the painted figures

I have no problem painting your extras. Would be fun. Trading for painting is an interesting concept. I am finishing a carnegie Kronosaurus this week, and thinking on the Elasmo. I have many done, and I am thinking of posting pics of the finished ones in a thread in collections. Then you can see what you think.
My friend has the Troodon, would die before giving it up. ( hehehe, starts plan in motion...). I looked them up, and troodon is supposed to be fairly rare isn't it?
I'd love to have more swimmers of any type, perhaps an Icthyo...*sigh* I am also a big stego fan..... ;D
Oh, and just so y'all know, I grew up with Brontosaurus, and prefer it, Just trying to sound like I know what I'm saying...Whatever the name, it is still the same ol' dino to me. ;D

Although, painting for others is a bit of...pressure. What if you don't like the repaint. Especially if it is on a figure you care for... truth be told, its my favorite passtime these days, so would probably paint figures for anyone for free. But that's a secret, so sshhhh I am repainting the Papo stego starting today. Is any one interested in step by step photos?

;D Thanks. The feathered dinos (piltdown sputters) are ones that I still paint fairly colorful. All these images of brightly colored dinos look good in paintings and such, but once on the figures that sort of paint scheme just....doesn't work out as well. They still look like toys, so I,ve started going back to the earth tones, especially for the larger ones. My hobby shop had several of those Great Dinos Theriz's, but I didn't get them 'cause I figured there was time... Now they're long gone as is every other dino, and they've stopped all new shipments. Hmph!

Have you read my pliosaur blog entries? ;D "Once again, we are not in a very good state of affairs, there are far more problems with the sculpt than there are commendable points...The main body is a perfectly cylindrical tube, more like a miserable fat sausage than a pliosaur body"

In 1990 they released the Baryonyx. The last two released were the Dimetrodon and Lambeosaurus in 1993, but only in the UK. These last two were never painted. The The Dime, Lamb and Steno are the rarest figures in this collection. The Stenonychosaurus , which I believe was never painted, was pulled pending some kind of litigation. ;D

Yes, I read it. But ya still HAVE it dontcha? ;D Actually, that is why I couldn't do a review. I just don't know enough to be able to judge the accuracy. ( I LIKE the Papo stego...), and don't feel I would be helpful. That, and I've repainted nearly every figure I have. All except the new Carnegie Gigo. But his time may come.... *thinks wiistfully of getting brush on some nice Battats, like the Diplo* Also I seem to be unable to type or spell lately.....

I was always under the impression that it was a timing factor. What on earth would the litigation be about? That it was the only one with a base? Or were the Troodon-enforcers trying to block its correct but less familiar name?

Myabe you could ask him or Demarco about it. If you find anything out let me know cause I'm sort of curious about it myself.

I really had no idea--Realm of Rubber dinos has a pretty in depth discussion of the figure (and the others) www.rubberdinosaurs.com/invicta-latecomers.htm#troodonwhere it mentions the extra copyright holder. Who appraently caused an uncommonly made figure (and wildly inacurrate one at that) to be very rare.
