I know I'm not Ajax, but I think I'm speaking for everyone if I recommend the Carnegie Camarasaurus. The general consensus is that it is a great figure! Yes Ajax agrees, also the new diplo is good as is the apatosaurus & baby & even the old Braci, oh and the small salty. Opps didn't i already say i liked all the sauropods.

John...more later but why is buying from the US expensive? Brett Brett It's the cost of shipping ................ you can easily double the outlay if not exceed the cost of the original item with shipping. I only use airmail as overland takes six weeks and 50% of overland never arrives! Also, if you package gets intercepted by customs you get a tax levy added which can be an unanticipated hefty additional cost based on customs appraisal of the value of the goods! I'd be mad to be buying say Schleich, Papo or Bullyland from a US supplier anyway! ;D

If i was to buy the Carneige Camarasaurus that costs $25 US, It would cost me like $60 to get it into my hands.

Welcome! Yah, figures have come a long way ;D As everyone already mentioned, the latest offerings from Safari are truly great figures. I have all of their 2008 and they are wonderful ;D As for Battats, there is so much love for that line ;D I think Theri said it all... and he has a secret well full of Battat figures... in boxes! if you want some, better make a deal with himbefore it all runs dry ;D So, since you like the retro look, what do you think of the Schleich and Procon line? They both have that retro look ;D Oh, here is a good link to check out Battats and other figures: www.rubberdinosaurs.com/battat-pg1.htmwww.dinosaurcollector.150m.com/companies.htm

The Trike looks good aswell! I really don't like the Allo, it looks like a green sausage to me and nothing in comparrison to Bullyland's ML which I have. Thanks for the links to the Battat range, interesting but still on the fence with that one ............ I see better with currently available figures ................ but am open to persuasion! I really like the Schleich 1:40 dinos and have my eye on the Stego in that range ......... the model is quite minimalistic looking but with subtle detail and it really appeals to me (I'm going to be overun with Stego's!). I like the big Brachi as well, for the detail it seems to have ................... I wish Papo would make one. I feel quite affectionate towards Procon, more so since I got the 1:40 Baryonyx which is a really nice looking figure and it feels good in the hand. A lot of their range is too small and too 'cutsie' for me but they seem prepared to stick their necks out and make unusual figures ................. the big Augustinia is on my list! Best John.

No problems, I was just trying to stop the bashing before it evolved into something bigger. I, fortunately, didn't have to pay those prices since I had many since I was younger, including the Acro and Diplo. I know Cordy can back me up on the fact that pics just don't do them justice. If you're interested in working out a deal for one (a trade, maybe?), pm me as I have many extras. Also, since you live in the UK I have to ask--do you have any of the Toyway NHM figures? I'd love one of those. *backs up theri* I too was generally unimpressed with the line until I got a couple of them myself from theri. They look absolutely FABULOUS in person, expecially the theropods. Darn it theri! Stop telling everybody you have battats to trade! I want you all to myself! ;D

Yah, the trio of 2008 WS figures are all very good figures. No one seems to know what is going on with Papo this days unfortunately A big sauropod would be cool for Papo to make. I'm glad you like the Procon line Funny that you mention 'cuteie", that seems to be a re-occurring thing on the faces/heads. Yah, the majority of the figures are small, but not too terribly... I'm just happy that they did a deluxe version of Agustinia, it is my favorite sauropod figure right now ;D Battats, well it's a very unique line. When they were released, Battat was the first, I believe, to offer the Acro, Utahraptor,Cerato, carno, as toy figure ( I may be wrong on this). The figures were made to be on scale with each other so it really made a good display. This days, its rarity and the nostalgia for it is what keeps collectors stumbling trying to get one or to complete the collection ( me included ;D, I have been after the Acro figure forever!). The line was also exclusively dinosaurs, no marine reptile or pterosaurs.

I think I already have all the double Battats I want ( waiting on 3 from him) from him, so I can be counted off the list of competition ;D

Also, since you live in the UK I have to ask--do you have any of the Toyway NHM figures? I'd love one of those. Theri Are you referring to the current ones or the old plain colour NHM figures? I used to have boxes of the old ones (I don't know who made them) alas my dear old mum gave them all away when I left home years ago (she did the dirty with my dino Aurora models aswell!). If you're referring to the current NHM figures, I will be making a trip to the NHM at some point in the next couple of months and can pick some up if you're after something specific. I assume that these are not available your side of the pond? Best John. I'm talking about the new ones, I'll pm you!

Hello and welcome to the forum! "...especially the old British Museum unpainted plastic figures..." Once again I´ve found a bird of a feather. And by the way: This idiom fits a dino toy forum perfectly If you like, take a look at my Troodon review on the Dino Toy Blog. So long!

Hi and thanks for the welcome. I've rumaged through the reviews ......................... very useful indeed. Can I ask, without wishing to offend, why it is that the subjects apear so random? Best John. Not quite sure what you are asking? could you clarify? Ah, I think that what I was trying to get accross is that on the review blog, to a 'newbie' at least, it seems to go from new figures to old discontinued figures seemingly at random. Having said that, please do not construe from that, that I am in any way knocking it as the pictures and information given are invaluable to someone, such as myself, trying to find 'the best' in the field. Best John.
