Hey, welcome, DLinderman and great scuplts!
Do you have any pics of the finished models -- painted? I really like the Stego! Is there a painted version?
And, what scale would you say they are?
Thanks!

Its a way of efficently using the sometimes costly sculpting material. The emphasis is on building the armature and then skining over the foam in almost a taxidermy style...also its tries to keep to the profile of the skeleton as much as possible.... .Or its just a Jazzy name to distiguish me from other sculpters... (HA ). Thanks for asking

The sauropod spines ref is: Czerkas, S. A., "Discovery of dermal spines reveals a new look for sauropod dinosaurs." Geology (20: 1068-1070), 1993 I have temporarily made a PDF of this article available here for you: www.plesiosauria.com/pdf/Czerkas_sauropodspines.pdf

Hey thanks for the copy .That is really interesting . I found Mr Czerkas comment about our having to go retro on the rendering very noteworthy . The artists who drew ,For exaample ,GERTY way back maybe did more homework than we are giving them credit for . Or at least maybe interviewed bBarum Brown or others who had undocumented info. Thanks again

Great Job! I like the stego too... I have two models, but models are very expensive. Acrocanthosaurus and Giganotosaurus, I bought them here, my friend is a sculptor and made them and another dinos, but that dinos are very fragile. Some pics...
