Beautiful new logo diotoyforum! But how did you do this? How did you crop the backgrounds so well from the dino toys? Thanks. I used the layers option in photoshop and then merged them to form a jpg. Please, go on. I'd like to do the same, except you know, not with toys and with plenty of Tyrannosaurs! ;D I have no idea what your talking about. I know about the layers thing, but I still don't see how I can paste an image on to photoshop and cut out the dinosaur from its background using layers. You have to use the pen tool right?

You have to use the pen tool right? Can you get hold of a Photoshop manual? That's how I learned the basics. The tools can be very complex.

I learned everything through trial and error. But here is basically what I did - and this is very simple by 'shopping standards.
Created the logo and put on the writing (automatically becomes a new layer) Opened up the pictures of dinos (specifically ones with white backgrounds) that I want to include, as separate files. change contrast and brightness to whiten background and tweak with white eraser tool. select dino, move to logo window, paste as new layer. do the same for each dino and organise them how you want. Each one will be a quadrangle so they will overlap - use the eraser tool again - playing around with reordering layers will help minimise the work. The diplodocus tail was obscured by the para for example, so I went to the para layer and erased the white para background obscuring the dippy tail. hope this helps, it is easier to demonstrate than describe....

Make sure you put a T-Rex on there! There already IS a rex up there, and there was before too (Papo)! I think, for the third time around, a Spinosaurus would be more appropriate. And it needs a mammal next time too--Maybe one of the Starlux ones.
