I went to that place in Glenrose, Texas...it was next to the actual Dinosaur Valley State Park.
I have pics if any one wants to see? (Tons) ;D

Great pics, Blade! I take it that all the statues are suppose to be life-size. How cool it must have been to see a herd of life-size Brachiosaurs!!

It was pretty cool...no really.. I couldn't feel my fingers...lol
I wish it had been warmer and I could have walked around em' and all..but they do have marked paths and request you not touch the Dinosaurs...pretty much the same deal at the Dinosaur Walk Museum... but they have 1/1 Apatosaurus or Dilpodocus ( been a few years ) and you actually walk under it rubbing it's belly, legs and all. .. really awesome.
Besides the Brachio herd, the yals oahd a herd of Ultrasaurs I think...maybe Supersaurus having never seen either in 1/1 scale I can't be sure.. heh

In all honesty..I wouldn't be caught dead at the propaganda machine that place prob is... I've heard a lot about the guy who built it...none of it accepting or nice.
My aunt's sister wanted me to go with them ( uber-christians, husband is a minister ), said " Oh Chris it's great, you'll learn the TRUTH, and they have Dinosaurs ! " Yeah..might have fallen for that line when I was five...sorry for the rant folks !

I've never gone to that one, but I've been to the one in Plant City, Florida. They have tropical plants which I think seems more realistic, all things considered.

The one in Florida is the first one I heard about years ago...I picked up a brochure on it as we were heading to Panama City.... it took me this long to get to one of em' ....and it ended up being in the snow...lol I told the guy there ( who prob thought we were nuts ) it would look post-extinction event with all the snow ....lol..and I've never been to a dinosaur park in the snow...so maybe one of the dumber things we've done...but it was fun..heh

The gift shop was amazing, but the walk through was quick. That's where I bought my T-Rex wall bust.

Those are great. The one we have here in Oregon is the Prehistoric Gardens, I have a set of photos of it on my Flickr pages. I need to get back there next summer, they've repainted some of them.

They had several versions of a T-Rex wall bust while I was there...small, medium and large.. not sure it was the same one as you have Rex...but it did remind of my Mike Tricic copy bust. Do you have a link to your Flicker page Tiermann ? I've heard of Prehistoric Gardens and seen some pics in books...they told me they are having a sculptor fix up and modern-ize all their dinos starting with the Florida park. Prob to compete with all those awesome and accurate Dinosaur Parks in Europe..heh CT, don't get me wrong I have nothing against creationists or even them having a museum..if they would just have it and let people set it and not shove it down a patrons throat.. I read they stop you and preach a bit as you exit asking what you learned and values you now have..I read another review of their museum and the exhibits and somehow they managed to tie creationist theroies into the decline of western civilization and religion...it's outragous. My family happens to be Christian Baptist...me I feel more inclined to agnostic and having told them that receive a new Bible every Christmas...of which I have around 14..been thinking of giving them away myself to someone..I have one as reference..the rest are in a box in the closet.. it's pretty ridiculous. lol Don't want to say much more..I tend to go into tirades and don't know when to stop... new pic : blade-of-the-moon.deviantart.com/art/Raptors-Snow-tastes-funny-116477050

^ I too am given religious texts from time to time from "well meaning" folks or the people who come around and knock at my door. I give them to the ravens to shred. They enjoy destroying books, and I find that there is something novel about saying that I give bibles to ravens to destroy. (Usually they get old encyclopedias/textbooks, whatever is donated - I don't really think they care what's on the books, as long as they can tear them to shreds)

Heh..that is pretty funny..lol
I've a friend who is a big Raven lover and doesn't care much for reading anything... I'll figure up a good joke using this..guarantee it...lol
Religous texts like Bibles have no re-sale value...sorry just the way it is....so what to do when you keep receiving them ? Makes you feel a little bad to throw them away..at least your birds are getting some use out of them... I used to toss hay bales into the wolf pens...they loved tearing them apart...heheh
