Wow! I have never seen the boxes for these or the Age of Dinosaurs info sheet. Good for you,Tyrannax, you lucky dog!
Where did you get these from again?
Question -- I thought that all of the Invictas, except for the Stenychosaurus (1/10 scale Troodon), was suppose to be at 1/45 scale. That Blue Whale looks really small. If he's around 100 feet and the Diplo was around 90 feet, shouldn't he be much bigger?

Thanks, I got it off ebay.
Yes. It should, but it was undersized for some reason.

Thanks, I got it off ebay. Yes. It should, but it was undersized for some reason. I believe the whale was suppose to be made in 1/80 scale. Nice set Tyrannax PM me and I'll give you my address so you can send me the boxes and other reading materials that you don't need. ;D

Nice Invicta box sets you have there. ;D Here's mine for comparison: The Weetabix premium 5 piece set from 1990's. I have two of these but one has been raided for fellow Invicta fans The official UK 12 piece set from 1980's (no Blue Whale in this one!). It includes a large poster which is the box lid art plus some extra info.

Not part of Set 1 or 3 I suppose. Heck, it doesn't even show in the painting.

Hee hee! We have that poster up in the Programs room of the T.rex Centre--I don't even know why it was here, since we only opened in 2000--and never carried Invicta stuff that I'm aware of.

Does anyone have the original boxes besides me? I've never seen those boxes in the UK. I suspect that they were for foreign markets (US) judging by the box art. I have heard of a smaller box set here, a six figure issue but have never seen it and, in any case, these things are relatively rare beasts anyway (I've aquired all of mine within the last six months on Ebay and, although they popped up in quick sucession , it's very rare for this to happen .................... if at all these days especially in decent condition .................... the payoff with these is that the figures are usually in great condition aswell ). That said, with your sets ................................... the Blue Whale is a rare beast (it was retired some time before the line finished) so you were doubly lucky there The individual figures are not rare at all but becomming increasingly difficult to find in pristine condition which is sometimes hard to guage anyway as the figures often aquired a lot of rubs and nicks before being sold from the museum (where they were sold from large bins ............. kids used to rummage through them, drop sweets in amongst them or give the odd one a bite etc ). In my experience, the whale is the rarest, then Troodon, Dimetrodon, Lambeo, Mutta, Brontosaurus (funnily enough) ................. the rest are still common in varying grades of 'played with condition'. The painted Invicta's are another story ................. they are about if you're prepared to pay a price but they're becomming as rare as Pteranodon teeth in pristine condition. On another note, beware of central heating with the unpainted ones. I've noticed recently that some of the larger sauropods are becoming brittle with age (some do not survive postage) and I suspect that to be the primary cause. John.

Congratulations! As an Invicta lover of the first hour I really envy you for these things. Is it possible to perhaps send me a copy of this info sheet. I´d pay postage and package, no problem.

I suggest you look a few posts above. Did you not read my question? I said does anyone have the originals like me. (A.k.a. Does anyone have the same box as me.) The boxes that are shown are not one of the originals (Besides the 80's version possibly), and are not the same as mine obviously. How rare is the whale? I figured it would be common. Hmmm. Howabout I just email you some copies of it? That way you do not have to spend a dime!
