Alexander the Great by Robin Lane Fox. I'm not sure why I chose this, since I have a policy against reading books about bloodthirsty conquerors, but I suppose it is better than reading yet more gibberish about 'feathered dinosaurs' [sic] ;D Selected Poems by Jorge Luis Borges. Mercifully it's a bilingual edition, as I have had to re-translate, with the aid of a dictionary, about a fourth of the poems Some of the 'renditions' into English were dreadful, sometimes even execrable; I can barely count in Spanish and I could tell some of the 'translators' [sic] had no idea what they were doing Catorce does not mean 10!

But there's not much variety of topics--in every poem there is either an espejo, something made out of hierro, or a sombra, a laberinto, and of course sueños everywhere ;D

I just finished Ramsey Campbell's The Parasite. Good read, although not as intense as I expected. I'm about to finish Bioy Casares' La invención de Morel and Selected Poetry by Yeats

'A history of paleontology illustration' is very nice at first glance, although the less we say about plate 7 the better. It is one of Luis Rey''s...
