Does anyone know where the old Carnegie Mountain Display can be found? I searched eBay and even Safari's official site, to no avail. The closest they have are the displays for other lines, like this one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

They have stopped making them for some time I think. I almost got one last year, but some stupid old lady bought it for her 6 year old grandson.... *shudders*
Your best bet would probably be specialty stores that are putting up new displays and getting rid of the old ones.

Ebay, Goodwill, Craigslist, etc are your best bet as well.
Good luck as they can be rare.

I got mine about 10 years ago, but just so you know, except for the stickers the one you posted is exactly the same as the Carnegie one.

No it isn't, the Carnegie display has a much bigger, more open bottom level for the sauropods.

Wait, seriously? Does anyone have pictures to compare?
Edit: Yeah, that's what I figured. The sauropods would cause some problems.

I think you're right, I guess I thought the Safari mammals were a lot smaller!

But notice how much room the mammals have to breath, compared with the packed in Sauropods. ;D
Indeed they look identical.

I actually found out Safari Ltd. is still selling the dinosaur displays, but only to retailers. That's why I couldn't find it on their site at first.

Out of curiousity how much was it?

DinoObscessed said hers was not for sale, then promptly added "$250". LoL.
The Safari Ltd. manager or somesuch told me they'll be making the Carnegie display available to regular customers soon. We'll have a price once that happens.

Does the lighter plastic look different? Is there a disadvantage?

Does the lighter plastic look different? Is there a disadvantage? It looks thinner. The displays I saw at the museum toy store all used the same Mountain. Dinosaurs, Wild animals, Sea Creatures they all were glued to the same type mountain. They should be lighter then the original which would cost less for shipping. There was also a Mountain for the the Bullyland mammals which appeared to be made out of a material similiar to the original Carnegie Mountain. I have also seen a picture of an Invicta Dinosaur Mountain with painted Invicta Dinosaurs on it. I suppose this came out after the Carnegies hit the scene.

So functionally, it's about the same, without any glaring problems? I might have to grab one, then. I wonder how many dinosaurs won't be able to fit on the mountain.

/\ Just look at the picture and try to figure it out.

The Carnegie collection stands about 45 strong at the moment, so I'd say perhaps half of them would fit.
