Some questions and annotations: - Very cool pics, as always! Congratulations! - Does YOUR AAA Gallimimus stand by himself? Mine doesn´t. And somewhere else I asked for the yellow bird from Sesame street. What´s his name again? - You do have the painted Invicta T.Rex but not the unpainted one? That´s odd. - And doesn´t the Procon Spino look goofy among the others? ;D Yes, my AAA Gallimimus stands by himself ;D I actually placed a cardboard between it's legs to keep them from bending when I stored him ;D The big yellow Sesame Street bird is called Big Bird ;D And yes, the figure reminds you of him ;D I do have the unpainted Invicta T-rex, two of them actually ;D I forgot to put them with the group, I just realized it afterwards. And yes, the small Procon Spino looks goofy ;D He makes a nice pair to the Bary ;D

So what is all this noise about the Safari Spino? ;D I finally got both the Carnegie 09 and Papo spino from Dan. And I t hink I already mentioned my initial reaction to both. I like the Papo more than I do the Safari figure ;D I honestly find the Safari figure... bland ;D Other than the exquisite head, nothing really grabbed me. I refrained from making any comments about the figures until I actually own them and see them in person myself. So that is where I am with the Safari figure, and IMHO, it really, and perhaps due to it, it did not lived up to all the hype and the cost of this figure. He now resides in the bin ;D Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the figure, after all I paid $30 for it! I just don't find him as exciting as the other spino, or the other Safari 2009 releases ;D The Papo on the other hand, I was blown away by the figure! AND BEFORE YOU ALL SCREAM IT'S NOT ACCURATE! Let me remind you all that I don't really care, not the reason I buy figures, really not my style of collecting. What I really like about the Papo figure is : A. It's very well balanced. It can stand on it's own two feet without the aide of it's tail. B. The pose is dramatic and not the static pose commonly seen on other spinos. C. The detailing is just amazing! From the teeth to each individual scales, it's truly impressive. D. The articulated jaw is very well designed. When I first saw the figure, I though that it was not articulated. It's very well disguised, not at all obvious. E. It's a lot cheaper, too! So he is up on the shelf with my beloved sauropods ;D Here are my pics... Carnegie 2009: Papo: Together! A side-by-side photo op, I know how much you guys love those! And Giga making a cameo ;D Hmmm, from above, the figures almost have the same pose, only in different direction ;D Till the next member of the T.A.B.S joins my collection! ;D
