No, I don't think it's clear whether or not this is a pathology, but it's nice to see that they at least kept up with some of the finer points regarding recent evidence.

no Carnegie mososaur for you? I noticed that he is strangely absent in all your pics!

Nope, not my fossils - my office is next to the University Geology Museum, I took them on a day trip Nobs, well spotted, the carnegie mosasaur should go on my list of 'wants'. I think I always chose other figures over the mosasaur because If I remember correctly, it's not all that great...

It's kind of a morbid display, y'know? How do you think the figures feel?

That was actually one of the first carnegies I purchaced. I always thought the figure was small though. Forgive my ignorance, but werent mosasaurs larger than how they are depicted in that figure when compared to the other marine figures? Also what else besides the dorsal wavey fin is inaccurate about that figure?

It is smaller than it should, I mean, if we consider that mosasaurids were very large.
In my opinion, the shape of the skull is off, the head is a little bit too short. the neck is inexplicably turned upwards, and the frontal fins are wrongly positioned.
Although there are numerous species of Mosasaurus, I don't know which one this is supposed to be, maybe Mosasaurus Copeanus or Hoffmannii

Delivery of Wild Safari dinosaurs from Atomic Elephant. They have offered to sponsor some new blog entries The 'great dinosaurs' are better than I expected, and the Carnegies are worse. Except the Microraptor ;D

Except for their being hollow figures (and the feathers on the therizinosaurus ) , the Great Dinosaurs set looks quite nice They definitely look more impressive than their Carnegie counterparts. The Carnegie triceratops ought to have been retired years ago, and the snout of the spinosaurus should be fixed.

Hmm, they seem to have sent a "Great Dinos" brontosaurus with a different paint scheme from mine. And Safari has again repainted several of the Great Dinos figures for 2008. The Great Dino Velociraptor looks ill-proportioned, aside from the feathers

I picked up the last of the marine reptiles in my collection when I went back home - so here is an updated photo. New additions include the NHM Ichthyosaur, WWD Ophthalmosaurus, KAiyodo plesiosaurus and Dinocrats plesiosaur. And I added in an ammonite to the mix too Instead of posting yet another pic - I have replaced the photo in the very first post in this thread.

The marine reptiles don't show on the first page; all I get is a pic of Palaeontology journals...

Once I thought I was gonna re-dress all my unfeathered raptors, and went far ahead as to experimenting.
And before I moved to Houston, I planned to turn an electronic Dilophosaurus I found at a goodwill store into a Masiakasaurus with an extra raptor jaw I extracted from a broken one.
