There is some rare exeptions...Safari Limited also briefly had a line for the Field Museum, specifically dealing with "Sue" the T. rex, though at a tiny scale, and a few toobs including one involving feathered dinosaurs associated with the American Museum of Natural History ;D Oh yes! Those are some really cool figures! Unfortunately they are short lived I just love the Sue and Friends line, small but very well sculpted Speaking of national pride, they are all American Museums ;D Don't worry,I'll refrain myself from shouting out chants of "U.S.A! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!" like a crowd at a wrestling show ;D ....maybe ;D

ROM ? Who made those figures BTW? They re just simply known as ROM. I have a green Diplodocus in the Centre; it is badly mauled. They were made for the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) by an unknown Hong Kong manufacturer.

If I read the thread wrong, I aplogize in advance but Bullyland with NHM Stuttgart is a German Company & Museum pairing. Still there is a significant number of American Museum & Toy company alliances. Maybe they are onto something good for us dinosauraholics ;D

But the original ones, were they also made by some unknown manufacturer?

Not a fan, of any of them. I'm more of an "exemplar" figure collector though - if a fig can't go toe to toe with the best ones out there, I'm not that interested... Quoted for the truth I think this is a disgrace for the BMNH, the Invictas were so much better, comparatively speaking

Quoted for the truth I think this is a disgrace for the BMNH, the Invictas were so much better, comparatively speaking I agree ;D The only figures I really wanted to acquire were the diplo and cory since I really like those groups. Although I am very fond of ceratopsians, I can survive without the Triceratops from the line ;D The other were good bonus, got them all at a reasonable price, so why not? ;D The kentro is another one that is actually pretty good. It used to be sold with the diplo, but I think they started selling it separately. ;D

But that is a personal choice and taste, yes? As you all are aware by now, I am not an 'exemplar" type of collector ;D I do like the wide variety of figures around. I personally would find it boring if all figures were all the same. Some of the inaccuracy is what make some of my favorite figures interesting ;D I collect to have a wide sampling of all the different prehistoric figures ever made, and that is the truth Anyway, one more addition to my BMNH line collection ;D It's the stego! Yap, I find this guy very nice and I actually like it very much ;D The figure have good details to it.

Yep,it's a good Stego even for me,even if it should need a serious repainting (especially regarding the head...It's just me or he/she looks a lot like the Batman's Joker, with that green-white face and dark lips? ;D).

Cool collection! I am torn between the Diplo and the Cory for which one I like the best. Me too, so I bought both. ;D
