So, Sepp introduced me to this forum, but I just lurked for a while before finally registering an account yesterday. As some of you might know, she and I have been working on a few collaborative projects together, and if you didn't....well, now you do! XD I'll use this thread to post my strictly paleo-related art, but you can see more of my work at carnivaldog.deviantart.comMuch more to come!

Absolutely stunning, I love these! Did you ink and color by hand or computer?
I´d love to see more and I´ll check out your dA-page.

This was the first mask/head I was ever commissioned for in 2007, of a Deinonychus. The snout came out sort of Velociraptor-ish, but the customer was still pleased with it overall. And no, the inner mouth was NOT that horrible bright pink color. XD My camera is just godawful and at the time I didn't know how to adjust the colors in Photoshop. I'll be working on another head like this very soon, deadlined for October. This is a sketch of the same character, commissioned by the same person who wanted the head. I know there are inaccuracies, especially that too-short tail, but...I ran out of paper. *dies* The coloring is meant to be unrefined. And here is a work in progress for another collab between myself and Sepp! A stout Tyrannosaurus Rex, sketched by Sepp, and inked by yours truly. I'm in the process of giving it some color right now. :}

A Utahraptor for Dan. I couldn't decide on whether to leave it bare, or to give it a feathered body, so...I'm leaving it up to him. :} Once that's decided, I'll ink and color this.

Another one for Dan, this time a Velociraptor. Again, leaving it up to him whether he wants it feathered or not. :}

I may or may not add in a little more shadow into the body, but for all intensive purposes, here's the finished Velociraptor for Dan. :}

Wasn't really happy with how the body feathering looked, so I gave the colors an overhaul. I personally like this much better. :}

Your raptor is reminescent of Shiaraishi Mineo's raptors. Fat feet, and very smiley.

Striking, to say the least. Excellent work. I don't know about Mineo's alleged "fat feet", but the color scheme reminds me of his work. It has a similar... what's the word, Emp? Texture? He's the artist, not me, so he'd know better.

Or he might use watercolors, I'm not entirely sure. But both mediums have a tendency to resemble each other if they're used in certain ways.

He's quite popular, his work is all over dinosaur pages in wikipedia, I think. There's your celebrity status, lol.
Now I just need to determine what color frame I want to give him.

Oh, and I'm just waiting on some cash to come my way, in order to mail the Velociraptor to you. So it shouldn't be too much longer. :}

You still haven't mailed it? That's it, send me my figures back.
No, I'm kidding. Take your time - I still have to find a good frame, anyway.

Since that first sketch for Dan wasn't quite what he wanted, I figured there was no sense in letting it go unfinished. I owed a couple pieces of art to Sepp, and so I decided to do one of her Utahraptor, Sage. This is a work in progress at the moment, as I still need to finish the tail and feet and put in some final touches, but here's what I have so far...

Hey, it looks just like Sage! Great job on the integument texture - looks like you could reach right out and feel that fluffy raptor goodness.
