Seeing these auctions makes me more excited about getting my Coloratas in a few weeks! I hope deanm gets his pterosaur. I notice that the same bidder bid on the Dsungapteris and Quetz. Hope its him and that his max bid is high enough..

There's nothing wrong with Procon - I just found it funny that someone was excited about the Procons when impossible-to-get Coloratas were available. *blushes* Sorry...kinda new to collecting, so I really don't know alot about which toys are common or more desired. I'll shut up now before I embarass myself further..lol

I didn't notice your low number of posts when I typed my (tongue in cheek) reply. Welcome to the boards! I'll sidestep the question of whether the "desirability" of certain lines is warranted, but most folks rate the Battat, Carnegie/newer Wild Safari, and Papo lines highly, and there's a good bit of variation when it comes to lines like Schleich, Bullyland, and Procon. Personally, I love the Procon Olorotitan and Tenontosaurus, and their Sarcosuchus isn't bad. On average, Procon's sculpts don't seem to be as accurate as some other companies, but they release so many unique dinos that some are bound to be good.

I recently bought a Procon Olorotitan and pachyrhinosaur figure, and I love them. Very well detailed-with the exception of an innacuracy with the pachyrhinosaur nose-, and they are my favs next to Carnegie. Quite honestly, Battats are at the top of my list, but it seems they're no longer in production, and can rarely be found.

Wrong answer? I thought I was the only one who wasn't a huge Procon fan around here. Its a decidedly mixed batch, but with some nice pieces as follows: 1. Scelidosaurus (big one ) - A+ sculpt. Gorgeous 2. Augustinia (big one) - B sculpt, but bonus points for daring to do the craziest looking Saurodod. Have replaced head and modified tail with (speculative) Thagomizer, so when I paint it, the custom will be nicer. 3. Baryonyx (big one) - B sculpt, but nice, big, and the best one out there despite the phat arse 4. Psittacosaurus - A+ 'nuff said 5. Muttaburasaurus - B+ a bit small 6. Tarbosaurus - B+ a bit small though 7. The three weird ceratopsians (NOT the Trike) - overall this trio gets a B+ (Chasmosaurus an A-) colorful, fiT in with the Battat Trike/Styraco wonderfully - what a great display side by side. 8. Huyangosaurus (Chinese Steg) - B+ 9. Olorotitan - A+++ The rest of the line is C and worse. But you've got to give it to them - the volume is awesome, and the way their sculpts are improving, Carnegie better look out!! Prices - very, very reasonable!! Now on to the auctions - BID, BID, BID!!!!!!!!!! ;D I agree ;D So no more scaring the new members with your Procon/CollectA bashing Nothing wrong with getting excited about them, god know you all know that I do... often ;D I'm just glad I'm not so much in the minority anymore ;D

Ah, nice to meet a fellow Procon/CollectA fan ;D Don't worry, you will find out soon enough that there are plenty of CollectA/Procon that goes around. Don't let those intimidate yah ;D I'm honestly tired of the bashing, but oh well, to each his/her own, right ;D I personally love the line, they are just very unique, IMHO Good choices on the figure you got, BTW

Eventually,Procon could end up being one of the top lines out there. Some of their newest series of models are showing signs of improvement over their older models.Look at the Carnegie Collection, when they first came out,I liked them, but they still weren't as good as the Invicta line at the time. Now their Tylosaurus is one of the best prehistoric animal replicas ever made by anyone.I would personally love to see Procon,Bullyland and Schleich do the same.

Me too, but it appears that both Bully and Schleich are going backwards in quality, though both are putting out armored dinos in Sept. that I will get. I will also point out that Procon is also now the only major line producing new prehistoric mammal figures. It is a shame, Wild Safari's and Bully's were pretty nice. And, given how well done their modern animals are, it is too bad Papo does not do a few more prehistorics, or even do a better job on their mammoth.

It was a bit of a hectic weekend and I forgot to put my bid in. Oh well. Congrats to the winner, it is a great figure! Did a forum winner win it?

I'm sure you'll get your chance - at the very worst, you could pay a japanese bidding service to buy you a Dinobox1 from the colorata online store.
