Pango, seeing your post reminded me I was supposed to work on that stego thingy - I'll try to get to it tomorrow, promise! You have to work on a stego thingy? Interesting. You've been a member for a year and have >4600 posts?! Thats more than 12/day! Shouldn't you be spending your time hitting on cowgirls or roping goats or somethin'?!

Alten doesn't suck. I love his books. I loved how the monster destroyed the colossal squid. ;D Pssh, just watch that new movie with debbie gibson. All the shark/squidipus you could ever ask for. And unmatched acting. I'm not familiar with that

Shouldn't you be spending your time hitting on cowgirls or roping goats or somethin'?! You think that's a lot? My account was broken for months at one point, and only allowed me on at random times. I work at my dad's Radioshack, and when a customer is not around, I have nothing better to do than post. I have a girlfriend, so there is no need to hit on any more cowgirls....per say. I can't concentrate when girls come in asking for cell phones anyway.

I missed this thread at first, but yes - I am super-stoked for August 14. Peter Jackson and Neil Blomkamp. Just doesn't get any better than that. I just wish he was still assigned to the Halo movie, as well. If anyone missed it, here's Blomkamp's short film created for Halo. You can see the similarity in subject matter and style, and personally, I think it's amazing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyKSaXsg-PE

Atually, it was, if you spent the time to watch the special features. It was indeed an alien, fallen to earth in an asteroid, said asteroid splashdown briefly visible in the home movie footage at the wharf. You can see it come down in the background.......

I did not know that. I've only seen it once, and that was at the movies,so I never saw any DVD special features. Ads for "District 9" have been starting to show on TV more frequently.

I bought Cloverfield from Blockbuster or somesuch, along with a couple of other movies. I had not seen it in the theater. I was confused enough by it that I went through all of the making ofs, and commentary, looking for better answers....

There is no "think". In the making of they discuss it as being an alien. Let loose when the meteorite splashed down in the ocean. I don't think it, they specifically say it...

Even if it were not stated as being such by the creators of the film, it spent an awful large amount of dry land....it is more amphibious than anything, and who's to say an alien creature would not be semi-aquatic?? But, it is a moot point. The guy who sculpted the maquette called it an alien, and the director said the meteor hitting in the background was in fact the "alien creature" arriving on earth.

Wait, wait, are you saying aliens are not vertebrates CT?
Also, by saying alien, I am meaning he is not from earth. And he isn't from earth, so yes, he is an alien. It's a general term, wouldn't you agree?
It was never released as to what it was, so where are you getting this from?
So when is the Halo movie coming out? After playing all 3 games countless times I'd really enjoy the film; especially the "Elites"...

I'm telling you, it's in the special features of the dvd. Just saying. Please don't make me watch this thing again, I barely survived the first time.....

I heard the information had never been released.
