Dunno they aren't all that, especially alone. Any good injury could maim or kill a theropod. Any injury that interferes with hunting is fatal, potentially. I see them as a little more "delicate" than imagination would want....and perhaps way too specialized at the end, like smilodon was. If you adapt for only certain prey, and prey goes "poof", so do you. So, theropods are more like leeches--parasites if you will--dependent upon the herbivores for survival..... ;D

Meat! I forget which language it came from but I seem to recall that "vegetarian" means "bad hunter". ;D

If you adapt for certain plants and they go extinct then so do you. Any injury to a herbivore could make it unable to defend itself from carnivores. So herbivores are more like leeches-parasites that depend on plants for survival! ;D

;D ;D Soooo I guess they all WERE too tupid and slow to survive.... Look nothing survives forever and intelligence while important isn't always the deciding factor. Carnivores in general are more intelligent. Primates started out as Herbivores, but began to consume more meat which has led to greater intelligence. Meat is high in calories, which the human brain requires. 20 % of our bodies energy is used by the brain, which is much higher then in any other animal. To survive one must kill. Kill or be killed is the law of the jungle. This is part of the circle of life, food chain etc.

Sorta both. I eat meat and make veggies a priority, but I don't eat corn-fed mass-produced meat or cheese 'cause it's bad for you. Much better to eat things like herring, ostrich, and buffalo with lots of good veggies.

Personally, I am pure carnivore. Only Susan's insistance on healthy veggies entering my body has had any impact on that. I was just messing around, not advocating veggie-ism....

Sorry Teton I was mostly just messing around. I'm an omnivore who normally has meat twice a day. I eat chicken mostly and try to avoid pork and beef, though I still eat them here and there. I eat vegetables, fruit and salads regularly. My biggest downfall is sweets (love chocolate) and Mayo. I generally like things moist and I probably don't chew enough. I generally eat fast.

We seem to be pretty much designed to be omniverous. Fruits and nuts are fine, but once in a while, a good steak is needed.....
I mostly bake things now. Lots of chicken--skinless-- and seafood. eating is one thing i enjoy, and dibetes really puts a damper on that....

I eat chicken every time I enter a restaurant. I have literally probably only eaten 2 hamburgers, and 2 lbs of beef in my entire life. It's really quite odd.

Ya, well, folks like my Grandparents ate steak, and pork, with potatos and loads of butter, bread and desert every day all their lives. They have lived to ripe old ages, and are way healthier than any vegan I have encountered......
