There was nothing subtle about most of the DinoRiders. They were meant as toys first, and so had to be able to literally stand up to play conditions.

I agree the Battat is the best rex figure ever made. It's way more accurate than Papo's at least, insofar as the shape of the skull and the size/pose of the arms and hands (Papo's hands are pronated!).

Hmm, I don't recall ever hearing remains of tyrannosaurid feet that came with footpads or snowshoes like Battat's ;D Though I suppose there must be some cladistic basis for this, like there is for feathered raptors ... ;D

My Battat rex has plain old feet and can't stand up to save it's life And there's more than a cladistic basis for feathers on Velociraptor at least... www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/09/070920145402.htm

There are at least three versions of the Battat rex: the first, which can't stand, the second with snowshoes and pads which can't stand either, and the third, which was resculpted to bring the tail down as an added prop, and there is also a mini pantograph version, which likely doesn't stand either. ;D

Here's a pic of my snowshoe Battat rex which I gave to the rubberdinosaurs site: There are several adhesive pads and mounts under its feet and it still can't stand; I'm wary of displaying it again, since it tends to topple over and take many of my other dinosaurs with it

I used to have mine on top of the Carnegie display mountain, head leaning against the wall and foot anchored with sculpt. Still wreaked havoc on the lower rungs every so often. Still, absolutely beautiful sculpt.
