Hi everyone, I just figured I'd start a thread dedicated to this line, I've recently fallen in love with them since I started my collection. Just for some background info, the complete set (according to Sbell) is: Small: Andrewsarchus, Smilodon, Palorchestes, Prorastomus, Eobasileus, Megatherium, Ursus spelaeus, Mammuthus Large: Palorchestes, Eobasileus, Smilodon, Andrewsarchus Here is my collection of 5 of the small ones: Right to left: Eobasileus, Cave bear, Palorchestes, Prorastomus, Megatherium Here is Boki's CQ page with all of his PV mammals: www.collectorsquest.com/collection/1369/playvison.htmlHis small ones (sans mammoth): www.collectorsquest.com/collection/item/21917/my-set-of-small-pv-mammal-figures.htmlAnd the complete large set: www.collectorsquest.com/collection/item/21935/the-large-set.htmlDoes anyone else collect these guys? And Sbell, is there any way you could post a pic of the mammoth? That's the only one not pictured in this thread.

Of course I can:

And the other small ones that aren't pictured: Homotherium (labelled Smilodon, but quite clear based on the source material images that it should be Homotherium): Andrewsarchus (labelled 'prehistoric hyena', and based on the source art, they may have been confused between this and the Hyaenodon picture--the discrepancy is worse in the large figure)

Thanks sbell! The mammoth figure is kinda weird looking, but I like him. Now to find him and the other 2 you posted.... And stoneage, you're very lucky to have the big guys.

Hi,
Play vision didn't own all their molds. One of the resons they gave for dropping out of the figure biz was all the copies being marketed. The figures appear to have been copied directly from the Macmillian Encylopedia of Extinct animals and the names for the mammals were often wrong.
