Wow, juju 1305 - you have a pretty impressive Starlux collection, great!! And in my opinion also a fantastic way to introduce yourself I also got most of my Starlux figures during the late 80's and early 90's in France. However, I live in the Netherlands, so my parents gave them as presents during vacations - I think most of them were from a dinosaur park near the Ardèche. Your posts and pictures give me another push to keep on 'working' on the missing pieces in my collection And I think you wont have a very hard time to find the missing pieces in yours, because I think you already own all the really hard to find and extremely expensive ones! Thank you Mnemosaurus I also created a thread in the new member section where I shared pictures of my old Carnegie figures from the late 80s. dinotoyforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=new&thread=4812&page=1After reading these posts and doing some homework ;D I realized I was quite lucky to own a bunch of the really rare pieces from this collection. I think that i'm missing less than 10 (the first version of the diplodocus, the pterosaurs and 3 or 4 mammals, i'm not counting the cavemen because I have little interest in them, but i'm missing 9 of them + i'd need a brand new synthetoceras with an intact horn). I must say I can thank my father for this. Back then, I was obsessed with the dinos only. My father was (and still is) a huge fan of Burian's paintings. And I think he loved how the Starlux figures reflected that style, especially the mammals or some of the pre-dino animals. So he was the one telling me "why don't you get this fish" or "get a prehistoric elephant for a change". I plan on trying to get the missing one (or some more of those I already own) from flea markets or second hand shops around that might be cheaper than ebay. Let me know which ones you're looking for, I might have luck and find them.

Your dad has a good eye for Starlux, haha I was also more into the dinosaurs, but I loved the fish and amphibians too, because there weren't any figures of those around. But I wasn't very enthusiastic about the prehistoric mammals and cavemen - and my parents didn't correct me on that I am still missing 13 of the animals, and 11 of the prehistoric men. Then there are also other versions, and some mini's (although I don't know how much of those are around). If you would stumble on something I am still looking for, I would really appreciate it a lot if you could help me out! I'll send you a PM with the list Thanks for offering to help! I am really happy another Starlux enthusiast has joined the forum I also love your Carnegies!

Hi Mnemosaurus yeah, i know, there's a bunch of alternate versions, with slight color variations, etc... my steg is grey and red, and i badly want the green one i also own the more recent diplodocus, the older one having a lighter blue color and one of its feet off the ground. I saw some of the minis on the web, but never in our local store back then. Just saw your PM, i'll do my best. I saw the ebay prices, they are ridiculously high. There are other trading sites, only in French, where these pop up sometimes for decent prices. I'll let you know. btw, glad you like the Carnegies too ;D I really love my old grey allosaurus. cheers
