Here are some new ones. Albertosaurus catches a washed up Mosasaur to feed her chick. Dimorphodon, my favorite pterosaur. Two male Pteranadon Longiceps have an air grapple over a very unlucky octopus. (situation vaguely inspired by Fantasia)

I do remember that scene from Fantasia. One of the Pteranodons is subsequently eaten by a big mosasaur... Great to see Dimorphodon too! Did you deliberately make it resemble a puffin (in terms of colours)? Nothing wrong with that, I really like how it looks.

They both had similar beak designs. Glad you like them.

I doodle a lot before class on various pieces of planner, lecture slide and loose sleeve paper. I thought it might be fun to show a few. Enjoy. I was experimenting with Styracosaurus pattern ideas. Achelousaurus Young Rex Adult Rex Unenlagia Dryptosaurus

Those Styracosaurus patterns look great! Very striking. You should consider developing that into a finished drawing.

I really like these 'doodles' as you call them -the dynamics of them are very cool-especially like the Dryptosaurus

Thanks guys. Yeah the styrac I'm looking to make into a finished product of some sort whether it be with the colored pencils or a watercolor. I ordered the Krentz Styrac model along with the trike a while back so I was trying to think of cool color schemes for it also. I'll put up more soon.

The second, striped pattern for the Styra is very good, i'd like to see it in a finished drawing

Thanks Sid! That styrac is at the top of my list when I start doing paintings so hopefully you will be seeing more of that pattern soon. Here's some more of them. Proto placodus and nothosaurus Plesiosaur and mosasaur Giganotosaurus T. Rex Bulky Spino Dienonychus Young Ankylosaurus Baby Trike Baby Rex and baby Steg Baby Oviraptor and baby Apato Scutosaurus Dilophosaurus Pachycephalosaurus

Oooh, placodus, one you don't see very often...
All very nice as usual. In that last one, the Pachycephalosaurus looks like he's yelling at the tyrannosaur scribble underneath. "Oi!"

Man, your sketches simply rock... How do you do? Love the broken crest of the Dilopho ;D Haha I'm so glad somebody noticed the chipped crest! When I was drawing it I actually went back, erased part of the crest and added it in to give it a more individual look. Glad you guys like them.

Thanks guys! Here's some more sketchy type doodles. I was practicing anatomy and experimenting with some color schemes. Protoceratops female and male. Velociraptor Herrerasaurus Trike Therizinosaurus Archaeopteryx Giga This weekend I'm going to attempt to at least start a watercolor of either a Carnotaurus or that Styrac with the cool pattern while I'm home.

Therizinosaurus was massive...but might it have had some feathers, given that it was a maniraptoran? Oh whatever, it's a 'doodle'. And now I'm sitting by myself, talking to myself. That's chaos for you. Also booze.
I loved the Velociraptor.

Yeah I considered feathers but for this I was focused on getting the body shape right. If I ever do a more serious illustration of the animal I may put some display feathers on the head or arms. Thanks for the input and glad you like them!

joshwennes on the forum is having me illustrate some jurassic dinosaurs for him. I thought this ceratosaurus came out pretty nicely and thought I would share.

I like your art- especially the sketches- I just had a quote pop into my head- when asked about selling his oil sketches the British painter Constable replied "I sell the crops that come from the fields, but I won't sell the fields" or something along those lines--
the ceratosaur looks very striking with the yellow on gray-
