Looking good so far. There are a few areas there I can see that need some more putty (on the stomach and neck in particular).
If you are having trouble with the skin textures, try using Repliscale to make a rubber stamp from the skin on the kit and use it to stamp on the texture to the puttied areas. If you can't get a hold of Repliscale, use some Sculpy rolled in a ball and pressed on to make the skin impression. Bake it and then it can be used as a stamp.
Keep up the good work!

That's a really cool kit. I can't wait to see it completed!

It is now primed, and has a base coat sprayed on. It IS a nice kit, but I would not recommend it to anyone, especially anyone who had never done one before. The front and back halves do not match up well. Now, I know there is some warpage in the box, and heating them up with a hairdryer can fix that. BUT, I had the halves heated to the point of complete flexibility, and I pulled on one side, Susan on the other, then I had to glue edges in place as I heated. More than once, the trike took a trip across the living room. Even with all of the heating , and puffing out, the back half is a good quarter of an inch larger in diameter than the front. VERY disappointing and frustrating. I have used most of a tube of putty on it, and still that seam is fairly obvious. I had similar problems for the neck join, and the back of the head and shield. Just a nightmare. In contrast, my new seaview sub kit is styrene plastic, and at 39 inches long, just went together like a dream. So I would in the future have to think twice about any vinyl kit. I want the horizon styraco, so may be tempted. But that giant ass one foot lifted rex? Forget about it.

Yup, it is cool, and I have had my eye on it for many a moon now. I like the styraco even more, if possible. It is poised mid charge, with its two front feet off of the ground. I should scan in the box cover shoqwing the set if anyone wants?
It will look fairly nice. I just do not have the tools or quite the skill to do a truly pro job on it. I may have almost bitten off more than I can chew here. We'll see once I get painting in earnest.

I'd like to see that whole set, if it's not too much trouble?
It's a shame it didn't go together smoothly, it looks like a great kit.
