Simple. Each person names a dinosaur, prehistoric mammal, or before the dinosaur in ABC order. Ok I'll start. Ammonite ;D

Okay we are to pick a dinosaur, prehistoric mammal or before the dinosaurs. Bullocknoris doesn't fall in this catagorie unless yoy are claiming it is a dinosaur. Otherwise I could claim all modern birds by this definition. I just think we need to clarify more specifically these rules. Dodo Bird, unless we have to use the scientific name Raphus cucullatus. ;D

So why not go with Dodo?

Nothosaurus
EDIT: Although...it wasn't a dinosaur or mammal and it co-existed with the very earliest dinosaurs (just about). That's true of ammonites too though...aarrggh! I think, say, Nodosaurus might be more in keeping with the spirit of things
