;D Ok, so finally got around to taking pictures of my recently acquired Kinto desktop models. ;D I got these models at way below, less than half the retail, price, so that is the only reason I have them ;D Overall, I am pretty much happy with the group, which consist of mostly S. American species The Group: ;D The Amargasaurus was brought in as a companion to my lone one I got last year: A herd/flock of Gallis ;D Carno! ;D Boy, what small arms he got! ;D Very nice details on this guy ;D Bonus: Galli runs away from Malcolm's T-rex during introduction! ;D A Kaiyodo Stryacosaurus... in need of some makeover ;D Cool sculpt ( Araki?), has a retro feel to it Thats it! ;D

The Carno and the Galli flock are simply beautiful The Amarga reminds me a lot of the Procon one... Maybe it's the color

Amargasaurus - nice, the paint job is quite...extreme but attractive! Carnotaurus is good, although he looks a little sad. "Why was I born with these RIDICULOUS arms...?" (Referring to the real animal there, not the model by the way!) Gallimimus looks good, some of the hands are pronated (was that possible in ornithomimosaurs?), but I really like the shaggy feathers. Finally, yes, very retro Styracosaurus! These are great overall, I would really like to get hold of some Kinto models. Maybe for Christmas...

I love the Kinto Desktop Carnotaurus - I wish they'd make a Favorite Collection version of it.
I think in ten year's time, the Favorites will be the equivalent of the Battats in terms of desirability.

I am not positive, but I think the ornithos had a crescent shaped bone in their wrists that let them turn them?

Nice stuff. I'm partial to the Trcic line from the Favorite Collection, as they seem more "alive" than their standard line. I have yet to see them in person, though.

I am not positive, but I think the ornithos had a crescent shaped bone in their wrists that let them turn them? Surely that's the same one as in maniraptorans that lets them fold it downwards? Er, unless it isn't. Surely rotation of the wrist involves the whole forearm?

I love the Kinto Desktop Carnotaurus - I wish they'd make a Favorite Collection version of it. I think in ten year's time, the Favorites will be the equivalent of the Battats in terms of desirability. That is IF they suddenly stop making them (which won't happen so long as they sell). Battat will always remain the 'Holy Grail' collection due to how limited the production run was ....

I'd really like to hear from anyone who has the Kinto Apatosaurus. In the photos I've seen it looks great in terms of accuracy, but skinnier than Kate Moss. What's it like in the resin flesh?

Haven't they been out of production for a while now?
I'm not talking about the desktop sculptures, but rather the toy versions.

I thought Kinto was still selling them, though they had some sort of US partner that isn't selling them anymore...

Healthstone Hobbies has them! That's where I got these bad boys! ;D Isn't Healthstones one of the most expensive retailers around? How they get away with some of their prices is a mystery to me.

Oh wait, are those the soft models you got for $20 each? I can't remember if they're made of PVC or something...
