Ohhhh, a completed set of painted Invictas! Wow! ;D The white spotted Brachi is unusual, never seen it before

Now this Larami / Invicta stuff becomes more and mor confusing for me. I wasn't aware of Invicta having two painted versions. Or is it just a custom painted one? And I know of Larami they have many different colours. My Brachio is light blue and black...

The skin texture on that Larami toy is just bizarre. Looks like it's melting!
Also, the Invicta brachiosaur at the back also has a slightly more downturned head than usual, in addition to having more of a curvy tail. (Compare it with the unpainted one next to it.) How curious.

Invicta, Kleinwelka and Larami Diplodocus.

Is it because of the perspective, or did you organized the Brachiosaurus(es) in sizes? Is the Larami bigger/taller than the Invictas?

Invicta Larami Iguanodon.

Ah the Invicta Iguanodon. A perfect period piece for illustrating historic views of dinosaurs. Hell, the Invicta Muttaburrasaurus makes for a perfect contrast (I'll take a picture of the two side-by-side at some point...although you can before I can...hint hint). Also, it reminds me of this:

I"ve never really liked the invicta iguanodon. It is their worst sculpt, even if it is retro. ;D

I would argue that the Tyrannosaurus is worse. I mean, it's quite cool in that it looks like Gwangi, but it doesn't look like a Tyrannosaurus very much!

The Iguanodon came out in 1980. And don't forget Carnegies first 1988 T-rex.

Don't you like the Igu? I do like the sculpt, but maybe not so crazy about the colour... That bright yellow.... But I dig the sculpt, I think is one of the best retro Igus ever (interestingly enough there are tons of retro Igus -Kleinwelka, Starlux...- and doesn't look half as good as the Invicta. I wrote a Kleinwelka Igu review btw, hope it will be posted someday) (hey? ) The igu was my first Invicta ever, It was bought by my mum in the early eighties probably in a museum store. Was cool cuz it was a big enough figure with a not too high price.

I just think it's their weakest figure. I still love Invicta!

Invicta Plesiosaur and Larami Elasmosaurus. Here Larami blatantly copys Invicta down to the blue color. However the Larami neck is straight forward and the Invicta curves to the right,

Wow, Kleinwelka Diplodocus in direct comparison to his Invicta ans Larami cousins! Very cool! Now you need the Invicta Iguanodon, which is not as similar to his Invicta counterpart as is the Diplo.

Yeah, not so similar. Still they are clearly relatives

That trex wasn't so bad accuracy wise, besides the pose. It's just very ugly! It has an odd 'roadkill' appearance. It's rather slim, including the head, and its feet have been reduced to these bizarre thin hooves. And yes, the first Carnegie rex was terrible too. I didn't say it wasn't. ;D The Iguanodon was retro for 1980, but then it still came before Dr David Norman's work that radically changed our view of the animal.
